Colak’s been good again. 

He had plenty of good 1-2s that opened up attacks, good off ball runs and he actually chases down defenders when we need to press.

Been brilliant, only complaint is it’s only 2-1. Junkies would’nt be able to argue if the game was done. Will say some of Tav’s choice of pass is mental 😂

Don’t think it was as much to do with a high press, going from what I remember of Gerrards tactics in Europe and against them we always seemed to let opposition centre backs have the ball. Sit narrow to avoid opposition playing into midfield and letting the ball go wide to then press there. But watching it back it was miles off, too often Morelos rather than sitting in a shape blocking any passes to McGregor decided to press the centre backs leaving McGregor free to dictate the game, this then led to Lundstram half heartedly trying to press him never getting there and then getting through it. This led to massive gaps in behind the midfield where Kamara and Tillman never had the awareness to follow. Watch it back that sequence happens far too much, and I’m sure at least one of the goals comes from something similar.  

If Lundstram can’t see there’s a fucking massive gap and we’re miles off it then he should be swiftly shown the door.

Shame it’s not worked out. 

The worry for me isn’t the selection, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Some times he’s going to get it wrong, the big worry for me is how long he left them out there. You could’ve made that triple sub twenty minutes into the game and not one of them could’ve complained about it. 

Utter shite and has been bar a purple patch towards the end of last season. Cut our loses with him in the summer, baffling decision to play him. Raskin must’ve been watching that from the bench thinking how the fuck is he getting a game over me.
