I was there. It caught in the pigeon netting and kept burning. Was around the time of the Bradford fire I think?
Can’t remember if it was pre or post Bradford. The Hobo fans were a bit mad back then.

I can remember a few games in the old Main Stand where away fans were up at the west end of the stand above the west enclosure. This would be the early Souness years.
Ye that’s right. The point I’m making is it is not a new initiative. Aberdeen got put up there also. Hearts on some occasions got the upper Broomloan.

I remember the Hobos setting a flare of in the old stand in the 80s.

That bench is grim as fuck. Lowry should be ahead of Arfield. Same old underperformers still playing.
Probably because we don’t have many over performers.

Seems we have a couple of names still missing.
Mark Thomson, James Frith, Alex McEwan and James Milligan were players in and about the reserve team then too. Not entirely sure what they looked like though without raking through reserve reports in old programmes.
Alex McEwan defo not in it

I'm born and bred Greenock, (now in Largs) over the years ''they'' have increased in numbers possibly overtaking the staunch. don't have any figures though to back that up. I can understand people passing through seeing the green and grey and making assumptions. to my mind we still rule. Scum wear green and grey to every occasion

Fuck your eyes, I live here and can categorically confirm it isn't a Taig town. They have a large supporters club but it's on its arse.
