From the 35th minute it was impressive, we got in about them and moved the ball so much quicker, not getting carried away as there is still a long road ahead
Ps for everybody that don't believe we can win the league cup does this result make you think otherwise?

First and hopefully not last in my lifetime.
I'm old enough to remember us beating Osasuna 1-0 in the early 80s.....you have to go back to the 60s for our 3 other wins

a rebuild and we have basically the same team as last year.
You mean we have the same back 4?

Can't believe it's got that bad that people think a league cup is beyond us.....I will be amazed but horrified if we don't win the league cup
-
Two marginal offside decisions and a missed penalty.....they cunts got away with one tonight.....Feyenoord are bang average aswell

RIP Ronnie, you were before my time but a stalwart by all accounts

Don't want to keep being negative about everything all the time so a bit of positivity, thought he was fucking excellent today.
I seriously thought he suffered in the first half with the amount of sideways & backwards passes he was having to make, last 30mins everything good we were doing was going through him....big player for us when fully up and running

Still can’t believe Danilo didn’t start against the taigs. Clearly better than Lammers.
Mate....Lammers didn't start against the taigs....I assume you mean Dessers?

I don't see anything wrong with the changes he has made other than bringing Lundstram in for Jack.....not that I'm saying Jack plays I just feel Raskin should be enough.....if he persevered with Dessers & Jack then we would rightly be losing our shit....Davies deserves his chance as big Soapy needs out the firing line,Barasic was injured so Ridvan plays,Cantwell injured so Lammers in....a lot to moan about Beale but ringing the changes today shouldn't be one of them

Hes genuinely drawing names out of a hat at this point.
Mate see if he didn't make changes you would fucking moan that he hasn't learned a thing.....makes changes and you still have a pop

What genuinely baffles me concerning Beale and our tactics/identify as a side is he actually had us at times playing some decent stuff which gave me hope that he knew where he was going
The two victories through at Tynecastle & Easter Rd were two massive performances where we created bucket loads of chances in both games, I genuinely thought to myself if he can get the best out this bunch then he will do well with his own players
The problem I see is that he hasn't replaced like for like positions with upgrades ie bring in better quality in the wide areas to replace Kent & Sakala, he clearly thinks Dessers is a substitute for Morelos when playing 1 up top.....I have no problem with any manager wanting to put his stamp on his brand and In doing so let him bring in his own players
It now just feels he has these players but is shoehorning them into positions in order to give them a game.....with the players we have I cannot fathom out why he doesn't try the old fashioned 442....especially in Scotland, try Danilo & Roofe up top, I'd persevere with Matondo on the left side of midfield, we then have 3 places to fill from Raskin, Lawrence, Lundstram, Jack, Cifuentes, Lammers & Sima, I would be inclined to go Raskin, Lawrence & Lammers, bear in mind this is St Johnstone we are playing, absolutely no need for two holding midfielders, I would genuinely curb Tav & Borna from marauding up the park let Lawrence & Lammers get a feel for each other and when we are trying to be direct we use Matondos pace.....no doubt I will see one up top, two holding midfielders....Tav doing as he pleases and no cohesion in the final third
-
We have two options at this moment in time, we accept the manager is still in a job and back him & the team to hopefully give us a major improvement on the pitch which sees us pick up 3pts or we just hate ourselves to death and predict it will be turgid shite as we drop more points
I will be behind the first option....just win Rangers, if we do it by a few goals then I can go out in a joyous mood....dropped points and I go into crabbit bastard mode

So it was the world cup, not the euros.
Mate you came out and claimed it was a major tournament.....it takes a bigger man to hold their hands up and admit you fucked it

I think the winners will come from France, NZ or SA.
Not taking many chances there mate other than ruling Ireland out

They haven't beat a team ranked within the top 10 in a tournament for 50 years.
Their record against good teams is really poor. That would need to change.
Do you ever check these things out when you make these statements?
Euro 96 England beat Holland Ranked 8th & Spain Ranked 7th....27years ago that was mate

The worrying thing is history is repeating itself here.....we dropped two lacklustre points at home to Livingston....these were on the back of the hammerings we were taking in europe....everybody knew Gio had to go....after the Livingston game we were only 4pts adrift....yep 4pts, what do we do, we dither and wait until we drop a further 5pts to shite like St Johnstone & St Mirren to fall 9pts and all but end our league campaign by early November.....this has all the same hallmarks as last season, we will do the same again and then act, as we know by now if we give them a 8/9pt lead we are toast
How the fuck the people in power in the corridors cannot see this is exactly how it will pan out, this is not a good celtic team we are seeing in our midst but somehow we are looking to contrive to let them waltz to another title.....that for me is unforgivable
