Just want him to retire and we never see him again.

Could've handled all five of our guys missing, the players who'd won the league and got us to that final. Tav, barasic, Kent, whoever. Take your penalty and if you miss you gave it your best.

But giving that fraud a penalty when he'd done nothing for us but blag a wage....

Ffs mate, he missed at least he wanted to take one, funny how out the 3 guys you mentioned only one of them took a penalty (out regular taker) too many players didn't have the balls to take a penalty because they probably didn't want to be that fall guy....is it any wonder when you get ott reactions like this:lol:

You seem to think that my argument is that "We re second favourite, so its impossible to win the league" which it of course it isnt. We are however not expected to win the league, we are expected to come second. We could come first, we could come 3rd. It is however to be expected that we come second.

Its not really hard to follow.

No....you have said that as a fan base we have no right to believe we can or should win the league....you have brought the bookies odds in to try and back you up:lol:

    A two horse race

    Cheltenham gold Cup 2008

    Kauto star v Denman

Kauto is the defending champion and Denman is rock solid as form goes....the bookies make Kauto odds on favourite at 10/11 and Denman trades between 5/2-2/1

Not one person involved in racing believed that any horse other than these two could win this race

In truth the bookies were guessing who to make favourite that day....Paul Barber & Harry Findlay co owners of Denman certainly didn't rock up believing they were second best based on the bookies odds....in fact Harry Findlay was amazed that the bookies made Kauto the favourite

The result was Denman thumped Kauto star that day....was it a shock was it fuck.....that's how two horse races are viewed by the bookmaker....it's not rocket science and certainly isn't the base to make outlandish statements whether we should expect to win the league

What has zero baring is the name of a club.

Being Rangers does not make us favourites. Can you give me one single fucking metric which you can point to which makes the statement that we are were favourites to win the league before the season started which is more reliable than the bookies odds on us being the second favourite?

Just one. One metric which points to us being the favourites for the league?

I've just pointed out, the Scottish Market has two teams....it doesn't take Einstein to work out either of these teams will win the league, they base their odds as a very low percentage game where they cannot or won't get stung.....hence the reason Rangers were say 7/4 and not a huge price of 5/1 at the start of the season.....you are actually waffling a lot of shite as the bookies odds will change over the course of the season

Do you genuinely think that anyone in our club thinks "I see hills have celtic at 10/11 for the league this year, oh well that's us fucked then, just play the season out and congratulate them later on"

Seriously mate take a day off, using the bookies take on this is wild especially when both teams odds are as short as they are:lol:

I'd imagine bookies odds are for the most part based on historical and current performance. They get more right than wrong. That's what keeps them in business.

Nah mate what keeps bookies in buisness is the random nature of results, if favourites kept winning they would be out the game very quickly

Take football odds or a fixed odd coupon, it used to be a minimum 5 results or 4 aways....nowadays you can bet on any match for a single.....they cream it in with the shock results out there, people thinking they are buying money by placing large bets on 1/3 only for the bet to be down is common practice

Making a market for the Scottish league is based on two teams, they odds can or should fluctuate in most seasons when both teams have winning streaks & dips in form.....if the bookies start the season with us at 5/1 then mitre maybe would be on to something, they will never be that reckless as those odds would get hammered mate

At the start of the season I’m sure it was 10/11 them and 7/4 us.

a couple of large bets would swing that to us as favourites ffs

@mitre_mouldmasterdoesn't really understand how bookies markets are formulated

Bookies odds have zero bearing these days....take last seasons premier league Man City were short price favourites (yes they eventually won it) and Arsenal were 5th or 6th favourites, Arsenal eventually blew up but spent the majority of the season top off the league....I'm quite sure when the bookies collated their odds for that season that at no point did they see Arsenal being top of the table for any length of time

How does 1 pass show he has what it takes

Saying he has only had 1 pass is a tad unfair.....he put a cracking ball through for Danilo against Morton and his ball last week for Matondo (albeit from an offside position) was absolutely spot on.....the problem is if those assits were combined with 4 or 5 goals up till now then we would probably be raving about him....problem is he has missed a few guilt edged chances and trying the ball over the top last week for him was utter folly

Aye was it not st johnstone or motherwell he played most of his games for? Had to do a double take when i saw his face

Their were two Greame smiths....the one in goal last night came through the ranks at kilmarnock, I've met him before, he told me how he had to give up playing in the Flute band to sign professional with killie

The other one came through our books and went on to play for Motherwell

I think with Dessers though you look at his record over the past couple of seasons and it’s actually relatively decent (eye test should have ruled him out though) so you can almost understand that one, even though he doesn’t look like any sort of value for money either.

I just don’t see what Lammers was brought in to do. There was all this talk about him being a hybrid player, but that was just fancy speak for him being a utility man.

Either way, it’s depressing that we’ve spent what 7.5 million on two guys who were targets for us a minimum of two years 🤢

It kinda seems like MB has thought to himself that if Gerrard targeted them a few seasons back then why not bring them in for his rebuild.....in truth it is a very lazy approach and at this stage the 7.5million outlay is looking very poor value for money.....the same 7.5million could have signed us the two lads from Hacken.....Sadiq & Traore.....I don't think there would be too many of us disappointed if the club had tried a different fresh approach to recruitment

On average you are hitting your 3 wood the same distance as your driver......keep that in mind when playing a tight hole as you should be more accurate with a 3 wood

I also noticed you were hitting your 9 iron further than your 7 iron which seems strange but golf is a strange game to figure out as you will find out mate....enjoy your new clubs:tu:

I’ve been going to the new driving range at old lethamhill the last few weeks, decided I’m going to get into golf cos I’m enjoying it.  After days of videos and reviews I decided to go for it and buy the steel shaft 13 set cobra fly xl from affordable golf.  I’m quite tall and it was between them and a cheaper set that I’ve watched reviews for tall players.  Went for them as they look a bit better and are clearly for beginner to intermediate level golfers rather than pure beginner.  Hopefully, I stick this and maybe a few years done the line get myself a proper custom set made up if I’m constantly playing.   Next day delivery and driving range tomorrow so hopefully get to use them.

anyone else used a set of these? Reviews are good from everything I’ve seen

I had 3 sets of cobras over the years, they are good for high handicappers....I'm pish these days mind you so I know fuck all:lol:

I think if you were on more social media platforms youd have a completely different view

Mate I've heard all the shite before social media

When O'Neill took over them we were something like 18pts behind them, I picked up a paper with a back page story with Shota Averladze telling the world that we had a better squad and a stronger starting 11 than them....we were fucking 18pts behind and we were being fed this pish through the papers....now that kinda shit pisses me off....players posting messages on social media is the furthest thing in my mind that is annoying me....how shite we are playing and lack of goals annoys me and the fact I've changed my job and I can't sleep and my alarm is due to go off in 3 and a bit hours is annoying me:lol: hope you are all good Tam:tu:

It's quite simple, post until your heart is content when you're winning, when you're not, particularly when that means losing yet another Old Firm then don't post, fans don't want to see that shite, an Old Firm loss brings out pain, anger and frustration, that's why this kind of shite winds people up.

Seriously mate are you the social media polis......either they are allowed to post or they are not....it really is that simple!!!

I'm just not getting grown men getting upset over social media platforms....rightly get pissed off about their form on a football park but I can't be fucked with this pish when someone scores a winner then on ye come and we will lap up anything you post because we love you and think you are great.....for this week but don't dare play shite because if you do you better go into hiding and keep yer trap shut?

In truth players shouldn't be on social media if that's rules

He just can't help himself, he's sitting in his livingroom worried about coming across as cowardly so has to post a quote with a dramatic photo.

He's got no idea, when we get beat off them you don't want to talk and be sociable, you want the world to swallow you up and you want to be raging about it for a good few days, I don't sit in my gaff worrying that my pals will think I'm cowardly because I'm patching the group chats or won't go to the boozer after the game, take the pelters and criticisms that come with the territory of a loss like this in a match like that and turn it around on the pitch, no-one or at least no-one I know needs these stupid wee platitudes.

He just hasn't got a clue.

This is exactly the point I made regarding Roofe yesterday....he posts on Instagram and gets slaughtered about how he doesn't get it....pathetic posting a disallowed goal....Cantwell posts something trying to be positive and he also gets slaughtered....if we had won on Sunday they could post anything and the usual replies would be "love the guy" " he gets what it means to play with Rangers " "got to love the way he winds the tarriers up" I said it yesterday I don't know why social media posts wind posters up so much:lol:
