What a boring post. Barisic crossed the ball in plenty of times today as he always does and got forward too. Not every pass in football needs to go forward you need to keep possession at times too.

He did ok but, to many forward passes imo. Need to train that out of him before he can play more. He even had 20 yards of space infront of him and he decided to run into it and attempted a through ball to Morelos. Instead he should have slowed down, placed is foot on top of the ball and pass back to King, Goldson or Mcgregor. 
 
He will learn and when he does we’ll have a player on our hands

I was more annoyed at the continuously shambolic website service. On off for an hour there are tickets available (you select the section but cant add to basket), there are none, then the same cycle back and forth leaving you refreshing and hoping for the best.
Our website is stuck in the 90s and clearly cant cope with the user traffic.

Very interesting and worth watching- think that is the first time I have actually really  understood the player trading model, and the difference between them and us.  Because they have been selling players for decent money for some years, they are benefiting from a number of instalments coming in each year for different players they have sold.  We have just started so in reality only have the first years instalments available and that money also has to be used for running the club- electricity, infrastructure, wages etc, as well as the instalments due on players we have bought over the last three years or so. That is what he says can’t be paid on IOU’s ( not buying players) but if we can continue to sell well in the coming years, then the cash available- ie more than one instalment at a time- obviously gets better each year.

Whilst the frustrations are understandable, a massive dose of realism must also be considered. We posted losses of 23million, 13 miillion and 11 million over the last 3 years and are on UEFA's watchlist for FFP. Considering where we have been, the balance sheet must be the priority. There are also a stack of issues in relation to the finances that are sometines overlooked, likes of Deferred payents of transfers in the last accounts at 13 million, 14 million out in transfers, staggered monies-in for transfers, UCL monies-in staggered over the season, budget based on EL qualification, massive bonuses for EL final & UCL qualification, escalating wage bill etc. etc. The idea that there are tens of millions floating about in the clubs coffers waiting to be spent on transfers is naive at best.
Can the board do better? Absolutely. However I think its only fair to recognize all the moving parts that go into ensuring the Accounts become more robust over time.
