I've seen folks asking for Tav and now Dessers to not play on Saturday. As much as we can be fed up with Tav and as much as Dessers fries your nut it would be mad to just drop our two biggest contributors for a cup final when there are no other replacements!!

I get this but also - you need constant game time at that age if you are going to develop, our ability to get young players decent level football on loan is awful.

McCausland scored in his last two games.  Both good goals, if I remember correctly one right foot, the other left foot.

Clement needs to change our style for this.  Definition of insanity is keeping doing the same and getting the same fucking result.

Said it in another thread but it's obvious how big a loss Cortes, Sterling and to a lesser extent McCausland were to our shape. 
The balance of the team was completely lost after that, which the manager should have addressed more effectively.

We had 17 clean sheets in those first 27 games and just 1 in the final 11
63% up until the end of Feb dropped to 9% 
 

Was shocked to read this, and whilst it's already been proven to be incorrect, to have conceded ONLY 2 more goals than them is still surprising.
They've had issues with injuries, as we have. 
But for me the fact that we've conceded fewer than I expected is down to Butland.
Hart is a decent keeper with a very good CV, but he's let in a few dodgy ones.
Butland is by far the better keeper, possibly the best we could get.
Yet some of us want to cash in on him to fund a rebuild.
I think that's maddness.

We were by a distance but the tarriers ended up with 30 against v our 32
After 27 games we had conceded 13 goals - less than 0.5 per game
In the final 11 games we conceded 19 goals - over 1.7 per game - the equivalent of shipping 66 goals across the season and worse only than Livingston
Defensively we went from best in the league (by a distance) to one of the worst over the last 12 weeks
The biggest issue is our lack of a coherent press and our shape off the ball. We don't close down quickly because we lack pace and strength in midfield and attack
Assuming we accept our formation as 4-2-3-1 
Dessers tries to close, he isn't the fastest but at least he puts the effort in
The tic-toc twins Cantwell and and Silva are too busy dreaming up dance routines, McAusland tries but lacks strength, Lawrence is slower than me and I'm almost 60
The two sitting mids always seem to run back to 15/20 yards inside our half when we're out of possession (Lundstram is often deeper than the CBs)
So from midfield to forwards there is no plan, too many not engaging anyone and too many unable, rather than unwilling, to tackle.
In the early days of Clement the press was a huge part of our game with Sima, Danilo and Cortes all effective and Sterling utilised in the press too
At this point our defence played in the last 10m of our half or at the half way line and squeezed the game
Injuries haven't helped but the reality is that our defence now sits too deep, and teams can get to us at will
Proper defence involves the whole team and we have less than half a team that can carry it out sadly

That's not entirely fair, we had a spell where we weren't even conceding shots on target at one point over the winter.
