Manager comments on injuries again really is telling. 90% of players available at all times at his previous clubs until he rocked up here.
Some are bad luck granted and not saying there is a massive conspiracy but lets be honest, one of them couldn’t run that medical department any worse with the amount of injuries we have. Particularly ones that are a couple of weeks and turn out for months or even seasons.

Just wait until the unveiling - will be twisted by their PR team in to “posters on the wall as a kid” like everybody else

Birmingham’s owners must be the only ones, at the time, that thought this was a good move for them.
Not one person I saw talking about this thought this was a good appointment.

All the best to a Rangers legend. Disgracefully treated towards the end of his time with us and should never have been publicly disrespected by, then replaced by, a con artist like Beale.

I agree with you.
i honestly think mid range to workmanlike players will be better managers, as they have had to work harder to get to the level they did.
which means, imo, they think more outside the box so to speak, in how to get results.
just my take on it and how I’ve seen it develop through the years.

Another Great player that can’t hack the step up.
its amazing how many never cut it.
henry, viera, lampard, Neville, Gerrard, Rooney, scholes, Campbell( both short term).
just the ones I can think of right now.
just thought of zola as well

Just saw the stats for his reign. Worst points total in the division over the last 15 games.

I do think a big part of it is that very top level players are used to playing with other very top level players, so when they suddenly have to manage and coach players that aren't as good, they don't know what to do or have expectations of them that aren't attainable.
Imagine you're Rooney and you go from playing with Ronaldo, Tevez, Scholes, Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidic etc to managing the likes of Oliver Burke. What experience does Rooney have that is even remotely close to that?
It also goes without saying it's an entirely different job. The likes of Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney aren't exactly known for being the most intelligent of people whereas most top managers are generally very smart and knowledgeable guys.
Top level players need to accept spending a good few years as a coach/Assistant Manager and actually learning the skills before taking the step up.

McGregor comments about us along with Brendan's I've seen off five Rangers managers are evidence of a mentally that gives very little respect to us and they see games as three points and move on. This mentality is obviously hammered into any new players arriving at the club.
Meanwhile back at Ibrox, my assumption of our mentality is one of respect and new players being cautioned of how difficult a game it can be. Yes from time to time, we will get one over them in a cup or a draw in the league and even the odd dead rubber victory.
My hope is the Clement has now seen this with his own eyes and starts to work on the change of approach and type of playing attitude required to win against them on a regular basis. We aren't a poor team, poor teams don't play Betis in Spain and win when it matters, but for some reason when we line up against them everyone's legs seem to get a bit heavier and an extra touch is always required.

Gerrard’s biggest positive was against this lot.
first ever game, he sat back.
after that, totally went all in about them.
it was games against the sheep hibs and hearts that we stumbled strangely enough.

Against them in the past decade we have been pathetic.
I mean we have managed to get to a European final, beat the likes of Dortmund, Betis and others yet against them 9 times out of 10 we get turned over.
Folk say its not mentality but it absolutely is.
For our club our record against them is a disgrace and we need several players punted from our starting line up to change this. Next month and the summer is massive
