  1. It's a sad state of affairs when people are getting done over at a Train Station - more so when the odds are not fair. I usually get the train from Waverley when coming through for games without a problem, but I'm beginning to have serious doubts over whether events at the Final and after, have changed the way we as a fan-base are viewed. A poor situation. Let's hope these 2 are dealt with in the correct manner.
  2. I didn't mind paying £7 to park but gave up on taking the car more often than not because of how long it takes to get clear after the game. I prefer to get the train now and then the subway.....far less hassle.
  3. Gazza was a player in his day, no doubt about that. The fact that he played for us should be remembered in a positive way, regardless of the problems he has had off the pitch.
  4. Interesting. I listened to the original show on the way back from the game and he was dismissing it then, even though they had Chick Young on the line from the stadium, who told them that he had witnessed players being provoked/attacked as well as the fans clashing. Tam Cowan was very much of the opinion that something very out of the ordinary had happened but Mr Cosgrove was just ignoring the facts being passed to him by Chick Young who was actually at the ground - which is what I couldn't understand. He did himself no favours on that show.
  5. Must have missed that one. Are you talking about Mr Cosgrove? What did he say?
  6. All of the above plus being presented the bill for all damage to the ground (pitch, goalposts, electronic advertising boards around the pitch and the remote cameras they "allegedly" stole while running amok on the pitch, Add 10% on to the total bill just for the inconvenience caused as well.
  7. I fancy coming up aginst Hibs in the final.............
  8. Deary me Jane, you do seem to use the term "H**" quite a lot on twitter. In your line of work (in any to be honest), you really should not use inappropriate language......
  9. I suspect that only the club and Joey Barton actually know what he is being paid. I doubt anyone else does.
  10. It's all aimed at diluting the reality of the events by portraying and continually referring to historical events. Operation Deflection in full force
  11. I didn't hear it while watching the press conference clip, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
  12. Wow........it's taken them all day to put together this. Let's be clear - they have no choice but to co-operate and the reasons behind the events occurring are simple: 6 to 7000 of your fans invaded the pitch when they shouldn't have. Everything else after that was as a direct result of this. End of.
  13. No surprise. He gave what he had and leaves us for pastures new. Good luck
  14. I mentioned this point after the game, that it will be interesting to see the ratio of fans arrested after the event based upon circa 6000-7000 Hibs fans and possibly 200-250 Rangers fans having made it on to the pitch. It seems that the Daily Record has stuck it's flag in the ground early in the process - let's hope that the Police don't follow suit.
  15. I listened to him driving back from the game. He was definitely trying to play it down, even though Tam Cowan was acknowledging reports from the ground by reporters who were there. In his eyes, the whole thing was being blown out of proportion and was very dismissive.
  16. From where I was in the North stand, this is probably the most accurate report I have seen as yet.
  17. He was squirming at times, and looked very uncomfortable on occasions. But, when you are trying to defend the indefensible this is often the case. No matter how you try to justify this, a pitch invasion with damage caused to infrastructure and physical assaults on opposing staff, combined with behaviour likely to incite a riot is not on - but I'm sure Rod will try................
  18. Ask yourself the question - would there have been any public congratulation if we had won? Probably not, which is why Politicians should stick to politics.
  19. A picture paints a thousand words etc....... You are spot on, because the pictures they should be using would should Hibs fans (thousands of them) on the pitch, and a significant number of those at our end of the pitch inciting our fans. That is what happened - but let's see if that is actually conveyed in the media. Driving back from the game listening to the BBC news summed it up for me, when the broadcaster used the phrase "several fans invaded the pitch". An understatement of epic proportions. Nothing else needs to be said.
  20. No surprises there. The answer is simple - do not vote for the SNP, as their decisions and policies appear to be based on their belief that Scotland is still some historical Gaelic/Braveheart heartland where they fight for "our right to be independent". Bear in mind, that the SNP claim to represent all of Scotland - but in reality they really only want to represent those who support them, and have no interest in anyone else who does not buy into their ultimate (and only) aim, which is to break up the UK... This piece of legislation does nothing to tackle the real issues that the country faces. Political rant over.......back to the football.
  21. Aim to win the league, and anything else is a bonus.
  22. This proves that you should keep your own counsel until you have actually achieved something. Too much talk from them and failing to deliver on all fronts...................enjoy next season in the Championship with Dundee Utd.
  23. He is a very competent player and would be a level above most in the SPFL so I would have him without question. He has done a job for Burnley this season so have no doubt he would do it for us.
