  1. To be fair, he hardly has a future in football management.
  2. I'm glad we have said this publicly as it should be our objective as a club. I couldn't put a figure on it, but I'm confident that MW will pick wisely in terms of new recruits and he will get value for whatever the fee is.
  3. Their whole club is in denial.................
  4. It was a great day in the sun, watching some excellent stuff on the park. Looking forward to the Livingston game for more of the same.
  5. There were a bunch of them in MRA as well. One was a Bayern fan, not sure about the rest, but they got into the spirit of things for the most part.
  6. Can't remember the last time i watched a Scotland game to be honest. Most likely when we still had players in the team. No interest in them to be fair, and for what it is worth i didn't think they would qualify at the start of the campaign and definitely don't think they will now. Another failure - this time by ginger Gordon..........
  7. It doesn't get much better than that.
  8. I watched the game against St Mirren on Nissi Avenue in a bar called Carina Sports Bar. It's not the best bar in the world, but the beer is cold and bizarrely the barman (who i think was Russian) is the double of Robbie Neilson which i found amusing. It was also closer to the hotel than Craig's Bar.
  9. I think we have enough cover within the squad for the Championship; not so sure about the Premier though. But, MW has already said he likes a lean, competitive squad so i don't think that equates to 2 players for each position. More likely a smaller number of players who can play in a number of positions.
  10. It's probably the correct move. The club laid down a marker and voiced their displeasure, and have now essentially given them a second chance - safe in the knowledge that if they revert to their previous level of imbalanced reporting, a second (more permanent) ban can be handed out, which would further damage the BBC's reputation for impartiality. Their card has been marked, and they know it. I still dislike the BBC but i think the club have handled this reasonably well.
  11. I don't have the opportunity to tune in (not that i would anyway), but it sounds as if BBC Sportsound is similar in the fact that they just can't seem to accept that they were found out. Not only the team, but their Manager as well. Hugely overhyped by the Scottish media to the extent i find it comical. We are most definitely on the way up with a solid plan and style of play in place, they are weakening by the day. There can only be one outcome when we next meet them in the top division.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go, he isn't really known as a passing CB, so isn't the type of player to play in the current system of playing out from the back.
  13. I'm confident that we will have the investment we require. But its equally important that our current squad continue to develop until the time that we are able to compete for entry into the CL. Our style of play is also an important factor beyond finance, and was, in my opinion, one reason why they failed last night. They were simply one-dimensional, lacked pace, direction and were careless on the ball - very similar to our team last season. Warburton's style of play is the way ahead.
  14. I would have thought that MW had considered his options at CB before releasing DM and MZ. He is either comfortable that he has enough already on the books or very confident of bringing in another CB. I suspect it is the first option.
  15. Was listening to Adrian D on the way home tonight. As always he is brutally honest..............
  16. Some good points. I trust in Mr W to have thought this through already and have a contingency plan in place, should we need to look for cover from elsewhere in the squad. I honestly believe he has the next 6 to 12 months planned out already - he is a proactive thinker not a reactive drone like many in the game.
  17. He's not the finished article but he will do for me.
  18. Good stuff. Will be really interested to see where he fits into the team and who steps aside (if he plays regularly).
  19. Fair play to him, he certainly wasn't the worst player we had last year.
  20. Probably Waghorn from Tav......
  21. i couldn't believe it when he punted that one high and wide. Very glad obviously, but surprised...
  22. Happy to take the 3 points today - that was the most important aspect. Granted, we were a bit slow in the first half, passes went astray and some of our players did not have their best games, but we showed we can still win when not totally on our game. A 6 point gap between us and Hibs is good stuff at this point in the season.
  23. He was okay today, but quite a few of his passes went astray - particularly the longer balls. Hopefully, not a sign of things to come. But in general he is fairly steady.
