He will regret leaving and we will miss him, no one stands to win except his family and that’s ultimately why he’s doing it. I can’t fault his reasons but I still think from a career perspective he’ll miss days like today and Thursday.
If we can sign Doekhi as well as souttar I’ll be relatively happy (provided the latter can stay fit) but if we can’t get Doekhi I think we’ll have to spend to get a replacement in, not sure of many bosmans that will be up to the standard required.

Not having a pop mate, it’s just indicative of the overreaction following bad (or good) results. People need to temper their reactions a little, let some steam off and then think about it more clearly.

Very true, it’s why Gio needs a domestic formation and a European one I.e. 2 strikers in the league and the one striker as we played last night.
Absolutely no reason why we can’t have two ways of playing that we work on, even if it means some players are favoured more in domestic games over Europe and vice versa……we have a squad for versatility and flexibility as well as back up so why not use it that way.
It’s not something that Gio has solely done, Gerrard and Beale were the same , one way of playing which worked better in Europe than domestically.
