Neil McCann is a class act.  Yet to hear anyone who has met him say otherwise.
No agendas, no squealing for sympathy just some honest putting the record straight in response to recent events.

Maybe being on the opposite side opened his eyes to a reality closer to the truth than portrayed by the uber downtrodden hence his continuing love for Rangers.

Neil McCans ‘always’ comes across as articulate, respectful, knowledgeable and probably most importantly impartial whenever commenting on TV, (his obvious fondness for the club aside). If anyone ever had a just cause to stand in front of a tv camera in an emotional and disturbed state and condemned personal sectarian abuse it was this man following the incident described. I have nothing but respect for Neil McCann and credit to him for raising his head above the parapet in highlighting this now when it undoubtedly would have been easier to bury things in the past...

McCann is an absolute class act. Gerrard talks so highly of him, I’d not be surprised should be be someone that joins the coaching set-up in some capacity.
Not just that, I would welcome it. Love the guy.

As I said on the other thread, it took a bit of courage to come out with all that and not long since he lost his father.
There can be no denial of what Neil said, but he will be hated even more by the scumbags for telling the truth.
I love the guy for what he is all about. He calls it, as he sees it. He is what they can never be. A man of substance, dignity and integrity.

Rangers were the bigots for not signing Catholics but when we did the ones doing the complaining are the same ones abusing Catholics for signing for us.

I think a conclusion he is making, and the Club is making, is that Rangers is on the receiving end of openly acknowledged discrimination from the BBC which in turn is leading to further consequential discrimination against Rangers players via the 'trial by Sportscene' actions of the Compliance Officer who (wittingly or otherwise) is being unduly influenced by BBC Sportscene.
He is also admitting that 2 inch thick file of correspondence and notes of meetings etc accumulated in recent times has resulted in the square root of zero improvement in relations with the BBC Scotland or modification of BBC Scotland's behaviours to stop discriminating against Rangers.
Perhaps he and the Club should stop talking to BBC Scotland and take the issues to the BBC in London and also to demand urgent action from those who govern the BBC?   Dealing with the BBC organ grinders may produce better outcomes than dealing with BBC Scotland who perform without fear of correction or retribution to their own discriminatory tune.
Escalate.   Escalate to the highest levels of the BBC and those who govern the BBC.    Repeat the charges publicly and loudly and persistently at the highest levels in Government.   Take every opportunity in front of whatever other media camera and microphone to make the point that the BBC openly and wilfully discriminates.   Name and shame the names in BBC Scotland who are at the heart of this.    In other words escalate and persist until a just outcome is achieved.
Just doing a one-off interview on RTV may seek to give the impression that something is being done.     But having raised the points in the way they have been raised it seems to me that its become table-thumping escalation time and not taking no or being fobbed off for an answer.  Is he suggesting / inferring the Club is up for that sort of militancy?     Or is he just raising a linesman's flag and running up and down the touchline in a sort of futile protest while the BBC just note and ignore?   We'll see but I ain't holding my breath.

That really did make me lol 😀, I agree though common sense and facts by the barrowload and the initial post is just outstanding. I’m just absolutely fucking staggered  at the manufactured one sided bias that is now dominnating every mhedia outlet, I mean every rattler is reporting that Alfie grabbed Christie, not one cunt has mentioned the stamp that made him flick out and not grab anything and let’s not get started about the one sided biased narrative, it’s a fucking joke.
Rangers or club 1872 need to make a statement about this or challenge the slanderous/libellous cunts that are spinning this revisionism.

Outside of the Ibrox bubble, there has been general incredulity at Beaton's lack of action.

this is actually nonsense. Even walker one hour into the game said the ref was having a good game. It was only as the game went on and walker started to focus on Morelos and then the BBC followed it up with a campaign against Morelos, that things started to get heavy.

This is an anti-Rangers and Anti Morelos campign stirred up by the haters - and celtic tom is one of them

A lot of sense there but my main point was that their invincibility was merely a facade. One defeat by Rangers and now a referee needs a police escort to do his job.
The supporters I know were unhappy about the mess they made of the transfer window but they bought into the idea that we were going nowhere, had taken a huge gamble on Gerrard and that their team would simply collect another treble without breaking sweat.
They now know they’re in a battle and they don’t like it. The days of all those free trophies are over and, when you pull back the curtain, they’re just as vile as they’ve always been, perhaps even more so as the new reality is hitting them hard. I know it is only one game but that one game was a huge monkey on our back. It had become far more of a mental test than a physical or footballing one. It was like someone failing their driving test time after time. You’re almost beaten before you get in the car, your head is so used to defeat. But now the invincibility has gone and, what’s more, it was ripped away in a fashion where not one single celtic voice has said they deserved to win. Instead they’ve turned on Beaton and the SFA. I mean it must be SOMEONE’S fault, FFS.
As for the other matter, I wrote to some of their sponsors in December and have had no reply yet. I’m giving them this week to get fully back to work before I follow them up. I would urge others to do the same. It seems that we can’t expect action from the media or, apparently, from the justice system. Therefore their crimes must be exposed by other means. MPs, MEPs, MSPs and sponsors have a responsibility to respond to reasonable questions and I believe that enough pressure in this area will give the network and organisation behind these atrocities the full glare of publicity  to awaken and disgust people who see the trial of a football coach as just another story on the news between Brexit and the weather. This was not a random, crop of perverts who just happened to all end up at the same place. There was clearly a network in force and a group of sick people sharing and working together. It is that aspect that will grab the apathetic public imagination and turn neutrals against them.
They are way, way out of their comfort zone right now and we must keep up the pressure on ALL fronts.

Look, it’s a Good post and hits the mark as to how many of us see things. But for me I am still concerned fuck all good will come of this and that the house of cards will stand firm.
One old firm victory doesn’t change all the positions of influence they now hold in the media and the governing bodies. 55 doesn’t overthrow a government of terrorist sympathisers and republicans.
While we take some solace in the meltdown, it remains sinister and they remain masterful at the art of propaganda.
Alarmingly in the referees statement it doesn’t refer to Any one club and it’s obvious that our criticism of Willie Collum is included in their statement. The spin remains, the ambulance chasers once again deflect and distribute the blame. The Whataboutery going on just now is sickening to be honest and the unyielding hatred towards Rangers no lesser for our “journey”.
When we made a statement about Collum we were ridiculed. When they made a statement about Beaton, fans of Hibs and the sheep agree.
It will take a generation to fix this to some sort of balance. To bring balance into the MSM, train the referees correctly, eliminate the unconscious bias they have developed due to the kind of abuse Beaton has taken. Never mind the years it will take to bring balance to our Scottish government .
i rarely ever raise the horrific child abuse that went on at their club in relation to football matters because it is a crime that needs to be prosecuted outside the crucible of football rivalry. It needs to be very high profile and it needs to have major repercussions for the institution of celtic football club, but it shouldn’t be about the football. However, purely in the context of their influence in Scotland, I do fear that they will avoid those consequences and that for me is the sinister part. Just like the Catholic Church, and just like the BBC, I really do fear that the institution will take no responsibility and just blame the individuals rather than the institution that provided the infrastructure for them to continue their heinous crimes unchecked.
The melt down has been entertaining at times but the ugly face of Scotland has yet to fully be revealed.

Most of us knew it would happen but, personally, I thought it would take our first trophy to push them over the edge. But no, a single goal victory in a single match has done the trick.
The seeds were sewn in the summer when complacency and arrogance led them to think that a  squad actually weaker than the previous season (Dembele, Roberts out, Morgan in) would still be too strong for everyone else. Some of their support began to fidget but Big Peter and St Brenda had never failed them, right?
Defeats to Killie and Hibs increased the jitters as our European heroics indicated a steel and determination absent for so long. The fidgeting got worse as they announced a bonus of 2.3m for Big Peter yet couldn’t shake off Rangers or Killie in the league they had come to see as their own.
Their friends in the media stayed loyal, hounding Morelos at every turn and bigging up journeymen like Christie and Edouard as if they were world beaters. And of course, the loyal suppression of THAT story continued for the most part as the verdicts were reported but our courageous journalists steadfastly refused to join the dots.
Then it happened. St Brenda’s first defeat at the thirteenth hurdle. Their fourth defeat of the season matching the total of the previous two seasons combined. And the manner of the defeat was even more telling than the scoreline. Totally dominated and clueless.
They are creatures of habit and, true to form, they turned on the officials and the SFA (an organisation more loyal, valuable and reliable to them than a bloody guide dog to a blind man) in a major deflection operation. The rules which state that, if the referee saw an incident and chose not to act, then no further sanctions can be applied, surely couldn’t apply here.
    “‘Mon tae fuck” they howled.
The house of cards begins to shudder.
Then Rangers ramp up the pressure by strengthening further with Defoe, Davis, Jones and Kamara on their way. Shit, this is serious.
And so the head of the supporters group (Mr “not enough Protestants on the Titanic“ himself) writes to the erstwhile allies at Hampden, effectively calling them cheats for following the rules. And, in what is clearly an orchestrated manoeuvre, the club follow it up with a demand for transparency. The club which has made an art form of secrecy and cover up now pushing for “transparency”. Utterly priceless.
Their world is collapsing in on them and they are in blind panic.
And of course, there hangs over them, THAT story. It hasn’t gone away and they may yet regret the stupidity of turning on the SFA who will hold the fate of that poisonous club in their hands.
It is the perfect storm and it has been a long time coming. Their lack of class and dignity is exposed for all to see and it is not pretty. The house of cards is hanging by a thread and an act of defiance or bravery by either the SFA or a serious journalist (Mark Daly?) will surely bring the whole rancid slum crashing to the ground.
I am thoroughly enjoying the show so far and would encourage all Bears to pull up a chair with, dare I suggest, a bowl of jelly and ice cream?
