Ivory Coast could still advance as a 3rd place team. Hate this new format of third place teams advancing.
16 or 32 teams is the way the football gods intended things to be

Onana already making a cunt of things despite making Cameroon wait

Bassey with Calvin on the back of his shirt. That boys changed

I thought that wasnt going to get reversed there. I don't even think it hit the Zambia players' hand in the end.

Enjoying watching the Namibians. They're causing Tunisia all sorts of problems with their pace. Shame they cant hit a cows arse with a banjo!

Ever since that penalty we got at parkhead with Broadfoot that cunt Collum has been at it with us.
We as fans except the failings of our team but decisions like that in a season that is very close can be the difference between a league title and tens of millions of pounds
We know refs make mistake but anyone who is genuine up and down the country would call that penalty. He shouldn't ref/var another football match again.
The fact that they tried to cover it up later with an offside is pure cover up.

Tricky fixture today as Killie can be about as tough as it gets in Scotland. However, job done and we can now go into the break, get some more players back hopefully and maybe a couple more bodies in!!

It's a shite result of course as I felt prior to the game and during the game there was at least a point to be taken.
However, from today there is nothing new from what I knew already. We have the right man in charge but he doesn't have the right tools. You swap a player like kyogo for someone like Dessers it's a different result.
The fact the manager has got us into a title race with this squad and with these injuries is a miracle in itself.
3 points on Tuesday and into the winter break, get some bodies back, a couple of new players in and on we go!

Big Phil got the snow cannon out again?

Given my donation to the bookies. Rangers to win, Sima and Goldson or Balogun to score and Dessers assist.

We random fact to show the highs and lows of that mob over the last month or two. The last 4 league games they’ve won by 3 or more goals, stretching back to the end of October, their record in the following games have produced 1 win, 2 draws and 1 defeat against Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell and Kilmarnock.
They seem to have a bit of a hangover after a bigger and more comfortable victory.

Pressing them is extremely important but this is by far the best we’ve been at absorbing pressure in our own third for a long time. Obviously having Butland in goals has a lot to do with that as well.
We’re not a team that needs the ball and can go direct. I thought before the Motherwell game that one goal is enough because of how we’re defending and tbh I feel the same for tomorrow.
When you look at their last 4 games when they’ve came up against organised defences and when the quality of the opposition is higher (Hearts & Killie v Livi & Dundee) they tend to suffer creatively and also give away chances.
I don’t think we’ll be giving them two thirds of the ball but we can certainly mix it up enough to cause them a lot of problems going forward and defensively compared to what they’ve been up against recently and failed against. Whereas us with our depleted squad haven’t hit many bumps despite what has come at us and the differing levels of opponent.

In terms of the team I’m happy this can be played another time. That weather is a leveller and we’re down to the bear bones with players looking tired.
Knowing our luck one stupid slip and it could be another injury going into Saturday.
Play them in a couple of months with more, and hopefully, better players available.

Same with Danilo and Morelos in the past but a lot of it is what they want to do when they're on the park.
When Dessers wants to get involved, come deep and drift wide the rest of the team benefits and we're seeing more and more of that. Technically he's not great but he can be a nuisance and bring and work others into the game.
Still far off from thinking he's the main man but as the games go on and more work goes on I'm working round to him being one of our 3 strikers which wasn't the case 4-6 weeks ago.

That'll do. First half really good and second half wasn't so good but it looked difficult out there. Job was done in the first half and managed to rest some legs.

Should be a couple more in front. Motherwell looking like they are more interested in trying to cause injuries rather than goals. How none of them have been booked is mind boggling.
Their number 22 is on about his 4th foul with no booking

Brilliant performance so far

With how our defence has been and with Butland in between the sticks I'm pretty sure 1 goal will do today.
Really important what Tav and Yilmaz do today. The more they, especially Tav, get into the final 3rd the more creative we will be up against a back 3 and wing backs.
I was impressed with Dowell on Wednesday and his passing range. I really don't think we've had that from deep since Davis, not that I'm saying Dowell is a Davis replacement. Beside Sterling and Cantwell despite it being an inexperienced midfield together I actually think there is a good balance there.
2-0 Rangers.
