IF, and if it's a huge IF, Roofe could give us two months, just two months, then the league is signed, sealed and delivered.
I wont hold my breath.

Really good result that. Obviously disappointed we didnt get the win due Goldson's mistake as we defended very well.
As much as Benfica got into good positions and moved us about I can't recall too many times Butland had to make too many big saves, especially in the second half.
For as much shit as Tav has got down the years for his defending he was absolutely superb at the back tonight particularly as the game went on. Just in the right place and read situations brilliantly.
A lot of confidence going into next week. Back at Ibrox we can beat anyone of this standard but we concede one goal from a right dodgy penalty imo and a total individual mistake when defensively we were solid as a unit. Our two goals came from two lovely moves. Keep the ball better next Thursday and I'm sure we'll have no bother.
I really want to beat this mob as well. Bunch of diving moany bastards. How Di Maria never got sent off after his yellow card between his diving, constant fouling and fucking moaning at the ref?
On to Hibs...

That'll do so far.
Sterling keeps getting himself in these good positions, keeps it up and adds a bit of composure he can get more goals.
As for the handball. What is a handball these days? Gets more and more ridiculous!

He’s basically calling out Beaton as a cheat.
Also casually forgetting the joke of a penalty they got. And the dodgy decisions that have gone their way.
Sky don’t mind perpetuating this conspiracy narrative either
You know yourself though celtic have been doing this for years from the board down to the fans. They paint it as doing it for the good of the game and they just want fair decisions etc. When in reality we know they just want to best decisions for celtic.
I've never in my life heard anyone connected to celtic complain about a dodgy decision that's went in their favour, the penalty they won yesterday being a great example. Total silence on that one and it wouldnt have been mentioned if idah scored it either and teams like Hearts have just to lie down and take it unless the shoe is on the other foot.
They represent the spoilt child who gets everything their own way and one wee disruptance to how they want things and the toys are out the pram. 11 titles in 12 years, 17 trophies out of 22 including a quadruple treble and zoom title. Their only rivals banished to the 4th tier for the apparent betterment of Scottish football aka celtic but brother Beaton and the SFA have it out for them - absolute disengenious wahoos!

Not really going to look at the,"we could have been 5 points ahead"
We were absolutely shite yesterday and got what we deserved, nothing, nada, hee haw Mcgraw.
We were also due a bad day compared to them who are who they are at the moment which is a team that drops points every third game.

Oh well as Boyd says if idah scores the penalty (an extremely debateable one) then its not even an issue. Just like if they hadn't fucked a 7/8 point lead they wouldnt be in that position.
Get it up them!

Cheer up brendan

Frustrating watching a team with an extra man, albeit the weaker one, completely unable to control a game. Get your foot on the ball and control it!

Wtf
I'm so oblivious to some of the rules these days. I just recall when VAR was rolled out guys were getting called offside for sticking out their arms etc. which always seemed unfair.

It’s the upper arm only or something.
That makes sense, just in general. Was daft it going down to finger nails are points

More checking the rule than anything here but do the hands not count anymore? Half of scales' hand is over the red line.

A man up and a goal up. Surely Hearts can't fuck this?!

Sorry but still think the "at times he does some brilliant things" is nonsense.
He's played as our main striker for just about the entire season. In that time he's scored a couple good goals and made a couple good passes. Law of averages that a few of his 100 shots do something decent. Him lifting the ball over a keeper off his line a good finish but it's what any good striker should be doing anyway, I would bet Miovski and Shankland have done it multiple times this season.
Sometimes maybe competent, sometimes maybe costing us the league
I'm thinking of things like the goal vs Betis and his ball through to McCausland vs Killie. Both examples of lovely peices of play where he does look good.
That's why guys sway on him because he is effective at times. Whether he does it anywhere near enough is a very different debate - and not much of one either.

Flip flopping of opinion on him is mental
It'll be far easier if you just accept he's utter terrible, count your blessings every time he bundles the ball into the net and hope he isn't here next season
The things is though he is literally the Gattuso "sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit" interview.
At times he does some brilliant things and in the very next phase of play looks like he's never seen a football before

We had 31 attempts at goal our finishing was diabolical and we where a shambles in defence, poor all over the park at times but still created enough chances to bury Motherwell. You have days like this in title races it’s how we respond to it that matters now, after our last defeat we went on a 10 game winning streak.
Hawd yer nerve fs we’re still in a strong position to push for the title. The injury situation is my only worry at this point. That pretty much sums up how I feel. A bad day at the office which happens in title race and even more likely after a big run of consecutive wins.
We've actually dropped points to Motherwell at some point in, I think, 13 of our last 17 title wins and I'd guess you probably drop points to at least half of the league in any title victory.
The injuries are the biggest concern and it's all in the same area. Fortunately for the league we only have one game until the 30th so hopefully we should have a few more back by then!

Disappointed with the result and how we looked in general. I think a result like this was due seeing as we've won the last 9 league games in a row, it's very hard to keep that up and done very rarely. Before today we'd won 90% of our league games under Clement which is an outstanding run but this is where the points lost under Beale really make life tough - we genuinely have to be just about perfect to win the league this season.
The biggest hinderence right now is, once again, how many injuries we have and all in the same area. We have no Cantwell, Sima, Cortes, Matondo and now potentially McCausland. Lawrence cant play every game, Sterling works his arse off but at home to Motherwell you need someone more clinical and Scott Wright you'd be as well no mentioning.
This is what can kill our title hopes, we've had to be perfect until now under PC but it's so much harder with so much missing.

That was a horrendous from Portadown on that first goal.

Fucking hate our luck with injuries. Someone definitely cursed us. Some pissed off ex-player's wife that's into crystal voodoo or some shit.
I suspect Pedro. Defo had some black magic shit about him.

I tend to find at Easter Road or Tynecastle both teams tend to open up a bit which leaves plenty of room for us. Wouldn't be surprised if we got 3/4 today - finishing dependent of course.
