Really is mental to think with how bad we've been if we win our next 5 domestic games we're top of the league with a trophy in the bag!
Here's hoping the squad we have just now holds up.

A well deserved victory and despite the poor finishing I'm glad we're making chances and enough to score 3 or 4.
We give a wee bit away but over the course of these games we have enough quality to win them, just need to polish our scoring boots.
Was slightly worried when Lawrence came off, remain so, and Cifu came on but he looked a lot better tonight, nothing spectacular but a solid 7 and something to build on.

Happy with that today. Not the most exhilarating football at times but we controlled the game without any real fuss and carried enough attacking intent to keep St Mirren guessing.
Danilo for Dessers and that is our best available team. With that front 5 including Tav you have creativity and goals. I'd like to see us go with that now.
No surprise Cantwell starting in the centre of the park was integral to most good things we did today

I'm happy with that line up. Obviously Dessers makes you want to hit your head of a wall but the problem whether it is him or Danilo remains the same.
We need to get bodies around the striker and more movement about him and with what we have behind Dessers today should give us that rather than this disjointed mess we've had with Cifu in the team.

We're choking for a "number 8" and he in theory should be the answer, along with Raskin, but he looked like he'd never seen a football on Thursday night.
Needs to step it up.

Butland, Tav, Goldson, Balogun, Yilmaz, Lumdstram, Cantwell, McCausland, Lawrence, Sima and Danilo.
The 4 behind Danilo I wouldn't want any set positions just let them find space and go across the park. Lawrence can play all across those 3 positions behind the striker and McCausland looks like he can do similar. Cantwell should have a free role anyway due to his creativity and Sima rarely gets a shot off the right hand side where I think he could cause damage.
Thursday we looked really predictable and barely moved Aris at all out with McCausland. Get the ball into Danilo more and let those 4 work off him.

Utter pish. Back to trying to let individuals (poor ones at that) win the game rather than a collective.
Most of them looked like they just couldn't be arsed tonight.

Guy needs to be much further forward and stop being so safe. Now whether that is down to him or management I'm sure we'll find out soon.
His goals and assists were at the same rate in the MLS as hatate in Japan

What a cracking match. Could have done with another 10 minutes of that!

That'll do. First half good, second half not so good.
In the first half we could have had 3 or 4 between the Tav penalty miss, McCausland goal ruled out and Dessers' poor finishing.
Second half was a bit passive but we put a lot into that first half coming off Thursday night. Also Livi really went to type by sitting so deep in the second. That is something I'm interested to see how we cope with under Clement as we've been good at drawing teams out so far.
Nice break now and a chance for the manager to put some more work in and get a few more players back!

He's finally at Rangers now. He's even getting into the time old traditions of winning but making us shit ourselves in the process!

Glass half full here when it comes to Cantwell.
We've won our first 4 domestic games under Clement scoring 14 goals with 2 conceded and, in my opinion, our best individual player in Cantwell played very little part in either victory.
Once Cantwell is back in regularly and firing we can surely only improve.

Alright getting excited now...
It's so refreshing watching us just now. There's desire, a purpose, some flair and so far it seems a manager who doesn't care about what the likes of Hearts, Hibs and Dundee will do to us!
