    Nupe.
I'm enjoying that we seem to be really busy on the transfer front but even if we get everyone we need in, the majority of the signings are good, we get out the deadwood that we need cleared and we have the squad numbers where we want them then that's us only 50% of the way there ... the other 50% is untested - I am referring to Gerrard and his managerial abilities and if he's the right man for us.
I've went through far too many false dawns these last 7-years. celtic have just completed a double treble, we haven't beated them in 90-minutes since 2012 and have suffered literally the worst ever defeats to them.
I'm not telling anyone not to get all optimistic and excited as each new season there's always the sense of it being a fresh start and a chance to prove ourselves again but Skrtel tonight has sent me back a few notches - not everyone will agree but I worry something isn't right ... when it looked like we were going to pay 2.7-million for someone we seen as important with only a year left on his contract it looked like a statement of intent and we were finding money to lay it down and just get a title won and stop them doing 10 one way or another, but now I'm left wondering ... however, that could all change tomorrow because we could sign Lucas for 3-million and all of a sudden we flip flop way back over to the other side again. That's the nature of it.
It's going to be a long, long window. There will be up's, down's, good signings, bad signings, good names linked, shite names linked and not everyone will agree on 100% of who's all eventually signed but the time to start taking stock is when the transfer window slams shut and we can start to see what shape we take and what the players are like in regards to being good or bad signings.
I don't trust this board to do anything right so forgive me for not getting carried away.

It's the fighting really not the thing they are fighting for.
we as a club are feeble at defending our name regardless of the subject at hand.

Oh its right up there, but for me Florence just edges it. Mainly because i NEVER EVER thought i would see us get to a European Final. Getting European football after the New Year was some feat for us never mind a Final.

Last year we posted the incredible tale behind this wonderful painting by our own Tom Vallance from 1891 and how it had been found in a cupboard at Ibrox.
    https://www.thefounderstrail.co.uk/blog
We met with the Club to discuss restoring the painting which would be funded by the Restoration of Rangers Graves Project and Club 1872.
The Club agreed to let artist Helen Runciman, who has painted among many others our Founders and Tom Vallance portraits, carry out the restoration work.
The work is now complete and this priceless gem will be unveiled at the top of the Marble Staircase at Ibrox Stadium this Saturday evening at 7.15pm. This will be before  Champions League Final event which is sold out.

He put a picture of his Gran on instagram yesterday & given his comments after Pittodrie suspect that might have more to do with it.
Regardless though, happy he isn't playing for Scotland and can focus on gaining his fitness for pre season.

Love the kid. He is exactly the kind of aggressive, fearless character this club needs moving forward. He is far from the finished product but will develop into an outstanding SPL midfielder and, longer term, will confound those who have criticised him as a centre half.
Top lad who will be a top, top player.

Proud of the lad. He's put his long-term fitness first and told them thanks but no thanks.
Good professionalism if you ask me - thinking long-term.

Arsenal are the team I like in England. Wenger stayed far too long and that dressing room were on holiday. Arteta is the cheap option since any experienced manager would be looking to spend serious money to fix Wenger's deficient squad - centre half, centre-midfield and goalscorer minimum £200 million plus. I would have gone for Conte who will leave Chelsea but has done a great job there but has fallen out with Abramovich. He would have demanded serious money but would have signed the right players in my opinion. That decision has just consigned Arsenal to at least another year of underachievement even if Arteta does an ok job they will not spend enough to compete in that league.
Gerard is different. While inexperienced the signs are that Rangers will spend the money at last to compete in our league. He has a better chance than Arteta of staying in gainful employment.

Can't imagine the Arsenal fans will be that excited by the appointment. With the money that they have and the pull of London they really should be signing a top end manager.
Arteta is on a hiding to nothing. He's not going to get the better of Mauricio, Jose or Pep (can't be arsed even trying to spell their surnames).
