It's a bit like the bloke who fucks off and abandons his wife and kids when the going gets tough and then resurfaces ten years later wanting to walk his daughter down the aisle and play happy fucking families.

GOAT's more than entitled to his view. It's perfectly legitimate to feel scunnered about the likes of McGregor coming back after what he and others done.
    I've mellowed a bit though.
He's not who I'd have signed, thought he was a bit over-rated first time round in all honesty but all I want is a better caliber of player to start competing and he's an upgrade on Foderingham ... cost us nothing, possibly get a couple of million for Fod to spend elsewhere on the team is good business for me.
You don't have to forgive McGregor, I don't - but I've welcomed Mojo, Kenny Miller, Ian Black people who I thought were scummy bastards and got over myself pretty quick. Doesn't make it right, maybe makes us pretty fickle but there's little point not getting behind him.
See both sides in all honesty.

Bottom line is what's more important? A 6 year old gripe with McGregor or beating the scum. I remember how I felt at Hampden not so long ago, and I know what my answer is.
Absolutely everything counts now. A fee-free goalie that's better than what we have, such that any money we have to spend goes elsewhere on the pitch, and bringing in further cash for Wes to spend elsewhere is a big thing.

Having Gerrard in charge is the perfect time to take on the Scottish media. We will be getting a lot of coverage from down south so it's the perfect time to stand up to them and let others ask questions.

We’d be mental to get rid of him after spending the best part of two years rehabbing him. He’s a very talented player, could be fantastic for us. Let’s give him a pre-season and see if he can stay fit. If not then it’s probaby time to offer him a mutual termination.

You're just talking about the fundamentals of any business that has ever existed anywhere. You're suggesting investments will not be worth it, as with any form of investment you need to properly weigh up the risks and the rewards, not just in the near term as you've done, but 3, 5, 10 years down the line.
Should we just turn our backs on Europe every season and not bother trying to grow or progress our club? Fuck me, that's an exciting business model mate. You must be a real go-getter.

Thinking about the stacks of experience gerrard has playing in these comps makes me feel more upbeat for this than usual at this time of year when you consider the last 3 managers combined euro experience was gained from family holidays. 3 wins and group stages. Why the fuck not.

I actually think that shows a weakness of that England team tbh. It’s not about being pals or not it’s just about winning no matter what team you are in.
Look at Barcelona and Real Madrid who are on a level like Rangers and celtic are in terms of rivalry and perhaps even more so pointed politically in recent times yet their players went fuck it well put aside the fact we hate each others guts to win.
Even Pique who hates Spain puts in a shift alongside Ramos because it’s about professional pride.

Absolutely, I see it as two distinct but related failings:

    1) Overpaying for mediocre players
    2) Failing to utilise those players correctly

While Pena, Herrera, and Cardoso aren't good enough to win us a title they're at least on par with most of the players Clarke, McInnes, or Levein have to work with, and a semi-competent manager should've strolled to second with our squad.

Bates hand ball for stone wall penalty when he came on as sub, against Hibs as well?
We've had a few go our way as well, incompetence abounds, but yea I think the refs are more scared to give us them as they have virtually every other cunt in Scotland potentially on their case.
