look at liverpool midfield and how that is literally causing their whole team to decline. it feels the same for us as our players in that department are past their best , injured all the time or just not up too it.
 

You're focused on the forward line but that first goal was absolutely  fucking criminal. Keeper glued to the front post, taig striker totally unmarked in the 6 yard box with an open goal..... how the fuck does that even happen in a cup final? Still can't get my head round it. 

 

Agreed. Which we did brilliantly in the Scottish cup last year. That was a whole team press. But we had Bassey at CB. We still press we just only press with our front 3. And it’s easy for them to play round. 
 
All comes back to recruitment. If we want to play a high tempo press game you need a high defensive line. Which most agree is the way to go. Sign horses for courses. So 3 important positions are a mobile keeper, a fast and athletic CB. And a striker that can run in behind. (That’s more to mitigate the high press and pin their defence deep).
Instead we didn’t sign a keeper. Signed Colak. And signed Davies. (I like Davies it’s just he’s not the fastest).
They sign young guys that can run a lot. There’s no forward planning or strategy under Wilson?

A bit of a gamble due to lack of managerial experience but I felt Beale was an itch that had to be scratched,so far I'm delighted with his performance. Added bonus that he's by far the best talker in town and I can now watch the press conferences again. 

He's basically standing and saying "I don't want the shite Ross Wilson dumped on Gerrard and Gio, I don't want project signings, I don't want superstar loans for six months, I want progress"
Good on him, because if it all goes to fuck, we're not looking at him, we're looking at the board.

I was quite vocal on here when Beale became Manager that I was concerned, I thought he was signed up to rehash the 55 squad and be the cheap option. 
Soundbites early on were concerning..."There's a view that everything is broken here that's not my opinion" & "Once fully fit the squad is strong and we'd just look to edge it on a bit in transfer windows". Even saying our squad is the same as the mhanky mob when everyone is fit.
Now we have him putting pressure on the board saying "no loan signings" "we need first team players" and name dropping players in the press.

The reality is half the forum was saying we will get pumped, we’ve walked away from it feeling like we should have won the game. Couple of good windows and we can blow them away.

Seeing Rangers in a Europen final is my ultimate sporting spectacle. Weeks of sleepless nights waiting for the game and my heart thumping like fuck watching every kick of the ball.

I always feel a bid sad when the group stages are over. The 3/4 games a day with a few shock results are my favourite parts of the World Cup.

Walked out just before France were awarded their first penalty. Got shouted back but thought they seem to be doing better without me watching.
