On Sunday 28th October, John McGall joined thousands of bears following his team, Rangers, to the cup Semi Final at Hampden.

Unfortunately, John never made it to the game due to being involved in a serious accident on Letherby Drive. John was struck on the head by a signpost that was accidentally knocked over by a bus and sustained serious head injuries.

John was well attended by Police Scotland and other emergency services ( to which a huge, heartfelt, thanks goes out to) and was rushed to hospital where he was initially in a coma. Fortunately, John has been responding well to treatment, but the extent of the injuries are not yet known.

An accident of this nature is horrific for all involved with significant pressure put on his close family and friends. John will no doubt be facing a lengthy time off work, putting his family under a massive amount of financial pressure. This is the last thing they need, and the last thing they should face.

I am creating this page to raise funds for John’s family, to help aid his recovery and to take one pressure away from them. Christmas is an expensive and stressful time of year for many, in normal circumstances; I ask all fellow bears, other Scottish football fans and anyone who can contribute a small amount to help John and his family to do so.

Accidents like this really put things in perspective, and I urge anyone who can make a difference to do so
 

To be honest it wasn't. Effectively said we were shit and made no excuses. Warburton, Pedro etc would talk in cliches and i'll concede I probably bought into some of their chat! They would always avoid the elephant in the room though and at times were a bit deluded, wet and pathetic. Gerrard IMO knows this isn't anywhere near good enough.
Knowing we were shit, saying we were shit and rectifying how shit we were is another matter completely though, and of course he is culpable in this too but some players need to take a long hard look at themselves. The only way to change things is by winning and winning some more. 
 

He did change it. Brought in Halliday. Brought in Arfield. Brought on Middleton with more than enough time to give him to make an impact. Brought off Flanagan early when we could all see he was having a poor game. Made a positive change in bringing off Coulibaly for Middleton instead of the straight swap with Kent. 
Like the man says the players are men and need to take some fucking responsibility.

We need a minimum of 2 strikers added to the squad. Or give the boy Dallas a chance. I also wonder what Middleton would be like through the centre??

We got into positions but final ball was poor poor poor, tavs crossing was abysmal at times, and our shooting yet again was atrocious, I looked up the stats, fifteen shots, only one on target and eleven no fucking where and three blocked.
I'm at the game watching these shots from in and around the box, fuck me it was shameful at times. Yet we have Gerrard and McAllister who were amazing scoring from these areas, diffirent players in our team from they two, yes that's rite but surely they must practice in training.
I couldn't see there goal well from where I was in the stadium but it was criminal to lose that from a corner.
Roll on Wednesday and back to winning ways hopefully.

I'm sure Barisic was good at these when he was fit, was putting some crosses in from deadballs from what I remember.

Being able to shoot accurately should be one. Look at Rogic he hits them from anywhere and is generally accurate and successful.

No issues with the segregation and police actions. More issue with the communication from them / club. If that corner is planned to be closed off then advance notice should be widely given. If it happened ad hoc then fair enough but I just feel life could be made easier all round if folk can be told before games.

People closest to the away end in the SJ stand are being told to wait until after kick off to get in or walk round the stadium, so miss kick off anyway to accommodate this Russian mob.

I play a sporting event every November. just so happens 2 years ago on remeberance Sunday at 11am there was a minutes silence in the main hall.
As there should be ,but it was broadcast that for any people who wanted to avoid the minutes silence thre was a place for them to make their way to ..
it could be argued it was to keep things civil incase it kicked off about any disrespect the silence ,but it's more relevant that this allows it to be ok not to remember the people who gave up their lives for the life we have today
