It's hugely disappointing that there's no more football this season, I'm sure all of us are feeling that. Other than a few blips I've been filled with pride all season watching this side, they've honestly brought so much joy during the whole pandemic/lockdown situation, and through things I've been dealing with personally. I've said on here earlier in the season that watching Rangers in this form has been a big boost during hard times, such a fine example of how supporting your team can be a great thing.
When we finally got over the line in March and won 55 it was just incredible though, and even more so last weekend because we saw the trophy being lifted by the whole squad and management team. Seeing Tavernier finally get his hands on that trophy after a career defining season is simply unforgettable. He's a bona fide Rangers captain now. Seeing Steven Gerrard lift the trophy was absolutely unreal. He has come in and fallen for the club, which in itself is amazing. He clearly loves Rangers, it's plain to see and just thrilling. I won't forget the massive grin on his face as long as I live. Morelos, he is actually hilarious; the life and soul of the party, absolutely loving life as part of this championship winning team. Defoe saying he wanted to stay forever, that got me right in the heart too.
Too many to mention as they've all played a part, but overall the trophy celebrations were overwhelming to watch. I've been left with memories that will stay with me forever. Sad that this amazing season has ended but it's more than OK because we've all witnessed this historic season and I'll be feeling on top of the world about it for years to come.
I watched a lot of the celebrations again tonight, looked at photos of it, and I couldn't stop grinning all the way. It's been a fucking dream of a season. I can't wait for next season. Love Rangers.
