tangledupinblue 0 Posted August 10, 2010 Share Posted August 10, 2010 couple of belters in there. remember being at east end park for dale gordon's debut and he scored twice and looked amazing, won 5-0. never quite made the impression that walters did, who i think he more or less was meant to replace, but played in a few big games, v leeds i think being one of them.Trevor steven was my favourite player as a lad.Robert Fleck anyone? In the family section back then mind you. We won 5-1 and Kuznetzov looked like the best centre half id ever seen. Injury curse struck in his next game I was also there to see the big mans debut - he absolutely oozed class. And far from being injured by a curse - he was done by the chunt from St Johnstone (name escapes me now).Speaking of players I felt never got the credit they deserved - how the hell did Scotland never cap the great Bobby Russell even once?
