Diouf Last Night

I was shocked by the lack of effort from EHD last night. His work off the ball was, at best, pedestrian and he had no presence whatsoever when it was played up to him. His tracking back and pressing were non existent - in short a disgrace to the shirt.

He CANNOT feature in the starting eleven on Sunday. Absolutely no room for passengers.

Presumably this is a wind up. In the first half he appeared to be the only player out of the entire midfield and attack who could actually play football.

Davis and Weiss joined him in that category after the break but he was definitely one of our best players last night

 he was at the heart of pretty much all of the good things we did last night.

I think (like the ref) you were watching a different match to the rest of us.

Diouf is an absolute MUST to start on Sunday. The taigs are running scared.

Think at one point he was telling lafferty to move the uk out the way cos he was so shite!

Diouf is probably not used to Walters shite and that's why he was always telling ppl to get up in support!

This is actually a good point as you always seehim shouting at people and lookingpuzzled at what they are doing movement wise. The same could be said on saturday when Bartley played he was trying to orgaise what was happening around him.

It may just be these people are more vocal or it may be they just use to a different system in the EPL

The way some of our players attempt to 'play' at times its hardly surprising if Diouf looks confused or frustrated but he's only played a couple of games and is still getting used to the team and players. Shows more than enough effort and skill and for anyone to say he looked half arsed or whatever.. well seriously, get a grip.

Good footballers with a good footballing brain will only get frustrated at trying to play in the Rangers team just now.

Just a thought but perhaps it's why Bartley and Diouf have been two of our most animated players lately.

Shock horror but could it be they can see the players around them are not on their level of thinking and are trying to point this out to them during games.

As for the OP's point....:rolleyes:

Fuck me did you actually watch the game last night? Diouf was involved in all our attacking play held the ball up well in midfield as well if we had a decent striker on last night then we would have won by 4.

If you think he was poor you seriously have not got a clue
