STV's view on the matter

The Scottish Football Association's Judicial Panel will consider cases against both Rangers and owner Craig Whyte on Thursday, March 29.

The club are accused of breaching five disciplinary rules, while Whyte has allegedly broken two. The timescale of the offences stretches back to May 6, 2011.

Both parties have been issued with notices of complaint by the Scottish FA's compliance officer.

Rule 14 (g), which Rangers have potentially breached for going into administration, can lead to a club losing or having its membership of the governing body suspended. A fine can alternatively be issued.

Both parties are accused of breaching rules 66 and 71. Rule 66 gives the Scottish FA scope to punish both a club and an official for bringing the game into disrepute. Rule 71 warns against any party not acting in the best interests of the game or acting in an improper manner.

No, Whyte has broken 7, the FOOTBALL CLUB 0.

Whyte is acting for the FOOTBALL CLUB, as it cannot act in its operational form.

Mr. Whyte sanctioned everything on behalf of Rangers FC, therefore should be held responsible.

Punish individuals not the club.

Dundee, Motherwell? No case to answer when going into admin. rangers? Fucking hell, throw the book. Arseholes the lot of them.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Also the league did everything possible to help Gretna.

How is it fair to dock us points for going into admin, then attempt to punish us again.

Punch of pr1cks!!!

"Rule 66: No recognised football body, club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, referee, or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall bring the game into disrepute."

What liek claiming conspiracy against you, that referees are all against you and that you have a big massive dossier to prove it?

Ach Its just the SFA and SPL being seen to be doing something, so they can keep the taigs happy.

It'll all come to nothing as they know fine they can't hit Rangers without us hitting back and taking them down with us.

The taigs are on their back at the moment and ironically that is what will keep them from hammering us for any trumped up charges.
