North Rd 2,860
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18385024Says he has a list of 19 players lined upIs he genuine ?
El Carpintero 546
Renaming the ground for only £10m. Controversial. Not for me.
Bertent 2,081
Guess youd have to ask those fans he had the meeting with, guess someone hasnt been able to keep quite. However:"But SPL rules state that, with board approval, clubs in administration may replace players whose contracts expire."If you are correct, that is an avenue open to the club," Green told BBC Scotland on Sunday. Sounds like the BBC sowing ideas rather than a statement from Green.
Rfc#1. 1,877
Ii see he's entertaining the renaming of the stadium for 10 million but says it'll always be ibrox park. Don't fancy that idea personally. I also don't think we'll be signing anyone before we exit admin.
californiadreamin52 339
Only with the approval of the SPL Board and only to replace players whose contract have expired
elephants stoned 2,994
Intresting stuff, would rather hear about it in the media after we get CVA agreed though.

Raghead 24
Still be ibrox? If the naming rights are to be sold I want more than £10m
scottjf82 104
what about this- Green also referred to a £10m stadium-naming deal with "an airline investor or alternative"."I've been speaking to a number of people, some of whom are connected to our investors, some not," he added."I've said all along, stadium-naming is an emotive issue, but whatever we do it would always be Ibrox Stadium." kanjo 26,332
fair enough. Would hate to see Ibrox renamed but it'll always be Ibrox to me, and £10 million could do wonders for us right now.
californiadreamin52 339
You can`t bank emotions but it will always be Ibrox Stadium
DarcheVinny 1,003
With regards to stadium renaming, this has to be done. However, I wouldn't do it for less than £5mil a season!
jdocherty72 215
Personally would hate to see the stadium renamed however, It generates a bit of extra income for us and to the fans it'll always be Ibrox.
El Carpintero 546
You dont even know the sponsor so how can it be controversial, unless you are against exploiting that source of potential income. It doesn't matter who it is. The low amount quoted, if it is not an annual income, and the fact it is the renaming of our famous old ground is controversial enough. I am all for exploiting all revenue possibilities but a one off £10m seems pathetic for such a good brand. If it is a regular income stream then that is a different story. Straight-Edge-Loyal 6,696
Ten million is a lot to rename the stadium having said that it would still always be Ibrox anyway but the cash now could be very very useful. That deal alone makes our shortfall disappear so we could potentially keep all our players would be brilliant from that point of view.
Blue Forever 179
Ibrox will always be Ibrox, and if selling the naming rights brought in a large sum of money, I'd be all for it. Wonder who the 19 players are?
El Carpintero 546
With regards to stadium renaming, this has to be done. However, I wouldn't do it for less than £5mil a season!A steady annual income would be great Vinny. I read that article as a one off payment of £10m.
Gregor Stevens Fan Club 42
Still be ibrox? If the naming rights are to be sold I want more than £10mIf there was a possibility that the club could get more than £10M for renaming the stadium, it would have been done years ago (especially in the last year). I would be a bit sad though coz it would be deppresing to see.

I am all for exploiting all revenue possibilities but £10m seems pathetic for such a good brand. What makes it a good brand? The reality is that companies far greater than Rangers are loosing sponsors hand over fist as marketing budgets are slashed to improve shrinking bottom lines. We really have to take some of the emotion out of this and look at it from investors point of view. Given the entrenched bigotry of the Scottish media how do you think their input on Rangers paint our image?
