TheBluebells 6,898
I must be abnormal then cos I still want us to win friendliesIm the same.I see nothing wrong with wanting to see us get a good result in these games as it shows strength in depth. It's not meaningless, wouldn't be too happy if anyone at the club actually thought that either. MasterD 7,436
When you are playing part-time teams every week it will always be tough to go to play a full-time team who are playing at a higher standard week in week out in a 1 off game. TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
When did we start to say "aw well"For friendly games? When did we not?
16BlueSherbert90 19,226
Well, I will let this one slide, but this better not be a taste of things to come or ELSE!!!
WCPRANGERS1 2,997
For friendly games? When did we not?Strangely enough I've never been one to find defeat an "aw well" situation and I'd bet there would be a totally different reaction if wed beat hibe, some games are more relevant than others but we should always want to win, anyway you think they don't matter, I think they do, neither of us will agree on the matter so ill leave it at that. weshallnotbemoved! 714
5 0 on Saturday but we struggled for periods.Would love the players to be told, only pass it if you are sure you can connect with someone.
WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
Slightly relevant, but my mate used to play for Airdrie a few years ago and was part of an XI that went to Murray Park for a closed doors match. He was up against Sebo and said he was repeatedly humiliated. miracle 7,834
I heard something similar about Sebo; apparently he was the best player at training but got stage fright in front of a crowd...So yeah, it's a bounce game, counts for nothing.
