bordersbear 1,105
Start with Clark for an hour then get shiels on as an impact sub. He never seems to perform when he starts a match but looks a game changer when coming on later
Lewis95 0
Ball behind Holt and Haliday. Middle of the park. Mckay, Miller, Clark up top. Three up front tend to switch it up during the game but miller to start wide right is my guess.
Moody Blue Legend 62,039
Law would be my pick.
harlands plater 17,065
Anyone voting for Law must have forgotten how he let them push him around like a wee lassie in last year's game. And Zelalem wouldn't be any better.
Clemdog 39,389
Waghorn. Fuck all to lose now that we're at the end of the Season. Through a curve ball.
nik2402 1,387
Would bring In Deano. And move holt left as he links up well with Wallace. Put McKay to the right and show them Tierney isn't Maldini
7troop 187
I'd go 4-2-3-1 formation. Dont try and play a system for two wingers when you don't have the right personnel. I think we need to play a system that brings our wing backs into attacking positions even more now. Nicky Clarke would get the nod for me in a strikers role with Miller, Halliday and McKay just behind. Use Wallace and Tav out wide to supply / support the forwards and Ball / Holt as cover? His pathetic attempt to tackle Van Dijk when he bounced off him like he was made of lettuce. That was pathetic lol The reason I can laugh is I remember big Lee sorting out that Guidetti guy and Brown at the same time Crap that we need to go into this with possibly four regulars missing.Think we'll need to go with Shiels or Clark here as there the only two were we'll get guaranteed movement, work-rate, and commitment. STEPPS BOY 75,116
Law or Clark.. like choosing between a kick in the baws or getting hit on forehead with a brick..
Frank Reynolds 3,359
Dean DeBoer
Lothianbear 361
If Zelalem gets the nod we are gonna get hammered, nowhere near good enough. my only concern with Deano is everytime he starts a game he has a nightmare, recalling tom walsh might be a shout, hes been playing games and scoring. gutted that Harry is out though, shows how we need quality players to add to the squad. Drunk and disorderly. 14,734
The options are far from ideal given the importance of the match. Dean for me as he is a goal threat and will come back and defend. Clark despite his high work rate has failed to turn up on too many occasions. Law is a shite-bag who shirks away from tackles and seems to think that a ball coming towards him at speed can be fatal. The scum players would trample all over him. Hope he never plays for us again. BigAmo'sThighs 848
Tricky one! Really wanted Harry to play. He's been a star since coming in. Not to mention the injury to Waggy, we've been a little unlucky before this tie.  Still expect a win, but it'll be harder for us.  Not sure if I'd push Halliday wide and play shiels/Law/Zel, or bring in Clark up front.  The gaffer will make the right call i'm sure of it.

My only difference with that would be Sheils instead of Law as he is more likely to put the foot in.

Can't remember the last time Sheils played well from the start of a game, mind you can say the same about Law.
writingranger 1,427
I take the point about Halliday being a natural wide player, but I think we need his dig in central defence. Shield is still a good player with a contract to win. A straight swap.

Blackandra 732
I can honestly see Waghorn being drafted in for this. All the above options are hardly confidence inspiring.
writingranger 1,427
I can't see waghorn coming in. Important as this match is for us, we are still building a team and could lose waggy long term. He may also be a liability, being off the pace.
Bears 794
I'd play Sheils, with him and Holt floating in and out of midfield and into attack. McKay can switch from wing to wing to keep messing up their cover. Coordinate with Tav and Lee and we could run rings round them.
there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
Has to be Shiels for me. I'm not his biggest fan, but he has the experience of playing them before and he is a forward. Â Law, Zelalem and Clark just don't have the necessary attributes to start this game.
