In an earlier version of this story on the heraldscotland site yesterday it was suggested that Joey Barton, who has been suspended by Rangers Football Club, could take action against the club in a tribunal on grounds of religious discrimination. Rangers has no truck with discrimination on religious or any other grounds and we apologise for the suggestion causing offence to the club and its supporters.

If after reading this, one Bear buys that rag then he should be ashamed. A journalist wrote it and an editor sanctioned it which is absolutely shocking and reeking of agenda.

The sooner these Lügenpresse rags die the better. Although unfortunately we will likely see them become even more sensationalist, and the "journalism" deteriorate even further, before they finally bite the dust, as they desperately try to keep their heads above water.

I gave up after the eggs benedict farce. Considering this is a breakfast meal & to the best of my knowledge there have never been breakfast served at Ibrox. But it didn't stop the press jumping all over it & to this day it still gets mentioned. As someone said as soon as it is out there it can't be retracted.

Fuck their apology they know fine well what they were doing i.e plant the seed for the maniacs in cyberspace, just long enough so they can withdraw and the obsessed wean rapers already have the ball rolling and passing it off as fact doing as much as possible to damage the Rangers brand.

Seen this way too often since 2012 in this country.

Just wish the club would finally get wise to it instead of sucking up the arses of everycunt in Scotland who's the opposite of a Rangers supporter.

Not often I'll agree with your take on things but that's pretty much bang on.  "What's seen can't be unseen".

You do get breakfast in Hospitality on a early kickoff game.

Eggs Benidict was the usual pish right enough, up there with the sectarian cut of the grass and us refusing to sell pepperami in the green packet.

That's basically how it works. Im sure there are many , including this one , that already have their apologies at the ready , knowing that the damage of ' sowing the seed ' is well worth their hassle .

About time Rangers bypassed the apology stage and went straight to the courts to seek damages against their brand .

Good insightful post mate.

They are proving beyond reasonable doubt the game plan many, many pro septic, so called legal, political, and journalistic "experts" have against our Club.

They know that they can do and say what they like, and have a compliant media platform to "sow their seeds" of alleged bigotry and sectarianism, and have their pathetically transparent "apologies" readily available to avoid any legal recourse from The Rangers lawyers ...... stinking plan I know, but effective .....:power_of_anguish:

Your second paragraph would of course seem to be the correct avenue, but unfortunately we seem to be very, very slow out of the traps when it comes to retaliation to these situations, and I don't know if it is now our policy to remain silent until they hang themselves, or just plain old apathy on our part, but I do know that it is not acceptable to let this continual sniping go on indefinitely without some form of firm hand taking over the reins in these cases and seeking more than a very lightweight, insincere, left handed apology.

I can't believe these cunts got away with printed headlines like the following

Rangers: Ian Black and Craig Beattie train with newco

Former Hearts duo Ian Black and Craig Beattie are training with the new Rangers, the club have confirmed.

Charles Green's Sevco parent company is currently negotiating for the Scottish FA membership required to play Brechin in the Ramsdens Cup on Saturday.

But the chief executive praised Ally McCoist for lining up such signings.

"I think it's testimony to the manager. Rangers is a name, but it's also the manager that the players want to come and play for," said Green.

We have a number of other targets lined up and it's up to Ally to decide

Charles GreenSevco chief executive

"I think people within Rangers have seen first-hand what Ally has had to do since February.

"But the reality is the players who are looking to join the club have seen it from the outside and I think that's recognition of what Ally has done to keep the club together."

Black was not offered a new contract by cost-cutting Hearts after May's Scottish Cup final win over Hibernian and agreed to join Rangers in early July.

It appeared at the time that it was dependent on Rangers playing in Division One, but the 27-year-old seems undeterred by the new club being forced to start life in the Third Division.

The 28-year-old Beattie spent the last few months of last season at Tynecastle after being released by Swansea City but rejected an offer to stay on with reduced terms.

McCoist hopes to bring three new players into his squad this week

Green also expects Northern Ireland striker Andy Little, who was out of contract with Rangers at the end of the season, to sign for the new club.

"Alastair has a list of players and he has been speaking to some of them," said Green.

"Obviously, until we have SFA membership, he can't sign any of them.

"He has two or three he wants to bring in this week and start training with the squad.

"We have a number of other targets lined up and it's up to Ally to decide.

"He picks the ones on the field and I pick the ones in the office.

"The difficulty we have is that we are playing in the Third Division.

"For Alastair now, the balance is getting the players in that can play in the Third Division but can also move forward as the club moves forward."

Black spent his youth career at Blackburn Rovers, joined Inverness in 2004 and spent five seasons with the Highland club before moving to Hearts.

The midfielder is recovering from a hernia operation and spent time working with physio Stevie Walker at Murray Park.

Beattie made 50 appearances for Celtic before joining West Brom in 2007 and spent two years out on loan to Preston, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United before a move to Swansea.

The striker, who also had a loan spell at Watford, featured in nine matches for Hearts towards the end of last season as part of a short-term deal, inculding a substitute appearance in the Scottish Cup final.

Here's the arse holes twitter, tweets are protected...surprise surprise

https://twitter.com/BraidenHT

I know that a lot of members on here don't take much to do with social media, but it just seems like whenever Rangers fans are accused of something...it's everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, whatever outlet it is, it's there, with fans across the country having their dig and saying what cunts we are.

However, when another team does something (usually against our Club), whether it be effigies, or sectarian banners or chants or whatever, there is an absolute minimal coverage from any outlet.

Now I'm not one for having a whine, but I think it's about time Rangers fans start to be more vocal, especially when something is done wrong against us. Take it to the sources, make sure it's heard and we complain, just like every other fucker does.

Prime example is the filth complaining of our sectarian chants on BT Sport, and BT Sport coming out and making a public apology for what was heard on the TV, however when they are covering a Septic game and are chanting about Warburton being an orange bastard, nothing.....NOTHING.....has been said about it.

It's fucking double standards and it pisses, and if we want it to change we need to have a voice.

And a good place to start is not letting this absolute shit-cunt get away with his mediocre and empty apology, even having the cheek to run the same story directly underneath said apology.

That headline was misleading, they are saying Ian Black and Craig Beattie train with the new company. In what capacity, they are footballers not executives
