Any suggestions on who you would like it to be or who you think it will be? The Record put forward the names of Alex Rae, Lee McCulloch and Barry Ferguson. How about the lovely Debbie McGee? Shes magic and available.

On paper, a good person to have around, possibly a great guy for the team to be around, particularly the defenders... Never showed in reality though. I suppose they're still only as useful as the manager they work under allows them to be. Less of a benefit if the manager has such an inflexible style of play. By all accounts that's not how Caixinha operates, so hopefully it addresses our big mistakes. Capitulations at Tynecastle avoidable this season if we'd played with any sense of how a game at Tynecastle was going to go.
JackAlex93 11,522
Our new assistant will need to have an idea what the club is all about, what our fans expect and our standards are.

Surely the guy would be more comfortable picking his own. Barry Ferguson in some capacity as coach. Say what you like about the guy, his blood runs blue. Also, even though hes flopped as a manager, he could be a good coach in the future.

The job title doesn't really matter, but I think there are insights which would be useful from someone who knows the club and the Scottish game. Equally there are things an outsider will spot, but it's about covering all the skillsets.

The theory of a Rangers man is fine but Weir did not work.

kyleh1872 87
I would hope it's Kenny miller, knows current squad and problems, rangers man and wants to move into coaching. Also like the idea of Neil McCann. Baz could be good but perhaps his devotion to rangers could hamper him here I would imagine he could be difficult for Pedro and might think that he knows better because am a rangers man, so to speak, need someone experienced with us, and a good football coach, not one or the other
