Templeton - please clarify

Apologies for posting this in the BD, please quickly shift on if required.

Is my mind playing tricks on me, but didn't this waster feign panic/pulled out of tackles/claimed injury everytime we played on the numerous plastic pitches in the lower league?? Seem to remember him being wrapped in cotton wool everytime we went to Annandale, Aidrie and Montrose etc - due to the plastic pitch. Now he is playing every second week,  on what is quite simply the worst pitch of its kind in Scotland. What a total hypocrite and wage their he was/is.

Kind Regards,

Terry.

I thought it was something like that - still as a result he certainly had a major fear with artificial pitches, now he is playing on an absolutely terrible one. Guess when the last chance comes knocking, he certainly overcame it.

For us, Templeton demonstrated all the passion of Josh Windass on valium and appeared uninterested.  There was obviously some talent in the boots but Hamilton or Hearts is probably about his level.

A technically gifted player who has had a horendous time with injury it was unfortunate that we only saw glimpses of his talent  I wish him well and hope he can stay clear of injury for the remainder of his career

For fuck sake - what's wrong with just thanking the guy and wishing him well in his future career? He's no enemy of Rangers.

Our club is as fucked as ever it was. We are absolutely pratted. We still have ongoing contracts till fuck knows when for rag, tag and bobtail of previous managers purchases to honour. We earn next to hee-haw from stadium catering - which is shite quality too. We are managerless and lead by lambs......and many, many more.......

Is this the worst thing we have to worry about - what type of pitch Templeton plays on??? Get real.

I thought McCoist used to use him very sparingly on those stupid pitches because of his injuries.

Thay was my thinking with the OP, still just wasn't clear if it was a management or player issue (perhaps both at the time). Anyway, fair play to him for they way has performed recently.

Ironically for some reason the Hamilton pitch is one which sticks in my mind with regards Templeton. Maybe he was injured there previous or that pitch was catalyst for the caution on others. Not sure. Now he's playing there full time. Funny old game!

Sorry David, but this is a forum where we discuss things. ;)

There's no doubt he got a couple of ankle injuries, but it became ridiculous the amount iof time he spent on the sidelines. Sicknote is a tag that's followed him around with good reason...but ironically I think his worst injury came at Ibrox.

He's not very good. He's always had the odd purple patch in his career, but he never sustains it. Wouldn't get too upset with how he's doing.

I hold no grudges. We should never have bought him and it was McCoist, and maybe a few others, that were at fault for that, not him.

Don't think he necessarily shat it from playing with us on certain pitches. He had alot of injuries around the time he played for us and was probably getting advice to be careful.

From what I heard he had persistent injury problems (that much was obvious) throughout his career that no-one could get to the bottom of so he'd be out and recover but come back still made of glass. Apparently in the summer he went to a specialist that highlighted what the actual root cause was and since then he's not had the same problems (He had a broken foot earlier in the season but that was a freak accident rather than the same issue that has dogged his career)

He is having a rennaisance at the moment. Pity he couldn’t have turned it on for us.

Was looking forward to his performances when he joined but he was quite underwhelming. I dunno what exactly the problem was but it looked a lot of the time like he was lacking in confidence playing for us.

Jersey was too big for him, but he soon filled it out at his favourite restaurant. Another real talent that comes good, three years too late. He made it ................................back then.

Now?

He was found out long before now. He should be ashamed of the way he treated himself as a professional athlete.
