Agree it should be rescinded/downgraded to a yellow, but I do get the feeling we are maybe playing the system here, as others have done in the past. Appeal and Alfie can play on Saturday against Kilmarnock in the cup. If the appeal is knocked back, then Alfie gets a two match suspension instead of one which will be served in two league matches against St. Johnstone at home and Hamilton away. Alfie then gets a rest and Defoe can step in and we will see how he fits in up front on his own or maybe with lafferty.

Unfortunately known the way we are treated, the CO will arrange an emergency meeting tonight at 10pm to make sure Alfie is banned for Saturday.

Reminds me of when the media pushed the hatred of Gaza. For all his faults we loved him more. Same with Alfredo.

Big Duncan Ferguson got hounded out too. Any decent player for us showing any aggression or silliness gets constantly vilified and ends up leaving for some peace.

Procedure for appeal :

If SPFL clubs decide to appeal against a decision for serious foul play, they must prove that an obvious referring error has been made.
They have until 13:00 on the first working day after the match to lodge their intention to appeal - Thursday in this case - with their claim needing to be submitted by 17:00 the next day.
Any hearing will take place "as soon as possible after 17:00" on that day - meaning it could be on Friday evening.
The player or any other personnel cannot attend the hearings, which will be a video conference between a tribunal of trained, independent judicial panel members.
The compliance officer plays no part in the proceedings.

Perhaps if the system was fairer we wouldn't have to? The truth is one appeal after another may convince the referees to give us a fair go so that will be no bad thing

How many games do you see that have 7 minutes extra time at the end of a half? It may have been justified but it hardly ever happens and was just the referee covering his ass from the mhedia

a fucking tim has tweeted " the referree gave an extra 7 minutes so that they could increase the goal difference ." mad bastards.

Aberdeen were pounding us for the last 15, we and they all thought a goal was coming! That’s why there was 7 minutes added on.

But... that made Defoe’s goal that little bit sweeter!

Such a laugh isn't all the sheep would have been bouncing up and down in their seats when they saw the 7 going  up on the board then we just put the game out of their reach with the 4th :mutley:
