I would actually have liked him to go back to Motherwell. 

I thought that as well but it might suit him more to get to a team that dominates the ball and has to break down defences the same way he would if he ever gets a sniff at our 1st team.

I reckon Hastie will very likely be sold next summer.  Think they took a punt on him and then realised, after seeing him up close, and at the age he is, he’s probably not going to make it here.

Especially compared to McPake, who’s a few years younger and has much more technical ability from what we’ve seen already.
