Honestly thought his being in the team hurt us today. Not his fault, though.

celtic gave him 40 yards of space all game and it cost them nothing. Should’ve been Barisic.

We simply can’t play a leftback that can’t play with his left foot.

We can if he’s got an out and out winger in front of him like Jones.

Problem was today we had 5 players who all want to play through the middle, which is fine if you give Tav and Barisic the freedom to get forward. Gerrard should have realised you can do one of the other, we did neither and it showed

He played ok but he needs an outlet down the left, his job should be get to the halfway line and then play in an attacking outlet. Today that was Kamara who offers zero going forward and Aribo was busy having his worst game since arriving. In the second half Ojo comes on and shows he is still a development league player.

The 1 positive today. Absolutely excellent defensively and tried to get forward and support Aribo, who should have slid him in instead of having a shot in the 2nd half.

Between him & Barisic we're OK at left back, despite the hysteria.

Flanagan hit no neck early doors and that was him out the game, well played Flanagan, pity others didn't do as well today.

He is a utility player playing on his least favoured side. Good defensively but limited going forwards.

Barisic should be a far better player than him but is very inconsistent. None of our players have stepped up and owned the position though. Still up for grabs imo.

He has nullified celtic's best/most dangerous player in every game he has played in against them  and he got forward today quite a bit but Aribo was lost on the left

I think this is the key point that provides some perspective on his performance. While popcorn teeth did sacrifice some width at the end, their best player this season (and last) was subbed 3/4's of the way through the game cos he'd hardly had a kick.

Solid performance from him but his lack of a left foot holds him, and us, back.

Can forgive that seeing as he is a right back.  Could have played him at right back today for all the good Tavs was. He was shockingly bad today going forwards. Hope that was just a one off as we are dependant on his crosses.

Offers nothing going forward and in the modern game that’s a huge aspect of the role of a full back. Especially when you’re playing with 5 fucking central midfielders.

That’s Gerard’s fault not his , if he’s playing jones had to play

If we have Flanagan at LB surely to fuck you want someone like Jones in front.  Jones can provide an outball and carry the ball 40-50 yards up the park constantly.  Instead the gaffer puts Aribo there and weakens our central midfield as a result.  Just a cluster fuck today in all honesty.
