He isn't anywhere near good enough, but his mentality and desire for us to succeed cant be questioned. If our team had even a fraction of what he'd give for this club we'd be in a title race. Remove captaincy from Tav and give to mcgregor then drop all players not performing regardless of who they are, how much they cost, how much they get played, how popular they are in the dressing room or who their replacement will be. I felt he should have done this last night but it was his call to believe in the players and show faith and trust. Well that ship has well and truly sailed and if Gerrard keeps playing them hoping it will come good then Gerrard is a fool and needs to be shown the door along with these players. He always gives 100% and if he's told he's valued as a squad player then why the fuck shouldn't he stay? At least he's a guy who understands the club and he may well have had a positive influence on younger guys like Hagi coming in. Halliday is the last player I'd be complaining about right now. We have lost a lot of Tradition since 2013 man we have lost a lot of character since 2013! it did more damage then any one could imagine. but its time to drop the excuses and bring back those standards. the scouts/DOF need to look past just there talent and ability and do some research about there mentality ive read about other managers/scouts recruitment guys etc interviewing ex managers etc to learn about them. surely with how easy it is to pick up a phone/text/skype etc etc to do this. we need bring in real characters real winners/ since we have returned to top flight bare a few most have had nothing close to whats acceptable or at least should be.
