Goldson seems to be getting more stick for being honest it was clear the players had chucked it some had chucked during the first half and never tried at all.

Its not what he implied, its how he put it, telling a fanbase thats just watched their team lose out on another cup, that the second half they watched in hope was utterly pointless, as the players had chucked it at HT, is nothing short of disgraceful, the fans travelling from all over to watch players chuck it at HT

We complain when players say nothing and we complain when they speak. He was too honest and the average supporter cannot handle that.

We could see the players had chucked it as I mentioned previously.

Not always true, look at ecks helicopter sunday squad, it had talent but arguably it had way more heart and desire

I'm probably not speaking out of turn in saying that, in terms of talent we had a vastly superior squad to 11 of the 12 teams in the league. We had dutch internationals (ricksen), belgian internationals (buffel), a 6m left-back (ball), Arveladze, someone who'd played in a CL final not long before (Prso). That team was packed full of talent.

You literally just made the point fan debate matters in the boardroom because fans are the customers, yet you're claiming they wouldn't have done anything with the money other than covered losses further angering their customers. Its fairly clear you have no idea what the thinking is in the boardroom so to suggest you'd know for sure what they would have done with the hypothetical money from Goldson is fairytale stuff.

There's literally nothing to suggest that at all.

so we can assume your position that they would have spent a penny of it on a replacement - particularly given we never spent a penny over the summer - is equally 'fairytale stuff'?

The real issue is fans don't like hearing the truth and only want honesty when it fits with what they want to hear.

No the real issue is admitting to the whole of Scottish football that you and your team mates chucked a game at half time in a fucking semi final. Shows everyone we are an easy target and that we are mentally fragile, creates negative publicity also.

We never spent money over the summer because we never had any.  If we were willing to keep Goldson instead of cashing in I'm positive they would have spent money on a replacement if they had cashed in on him. Don't see anything to suggest otherwise.

Should he have lied and pretended they were bursting their arse for 90 minutes?

No he’s getting abuse for saying the hunger is away and the game was over at 3-0.  Absolutely disgraceful things for a so called leader in the Rangers dressing room to say.

Mate, we had a 40million CL bonus within touching distance and we tried to cheap out and get it without spending a penny. We went into this season knowing winning the title would almost certainly see us in the CL groups but again we cheaped out.

Had we sold Goldson, we'd have still had Balogun, Helander, Katic and Simpson on our books (and postentially Edmundson). If we'd sold Goldson, we'd have went with what we had.

Considering we’re going 1-0 behind in every game at the moment it doesn’t half give a team an incentive to attack us if they know they only have to score again for our team to stop trying

Exactly!

My mates left after the 3rd goal went in, I stupidly decided to stay and put myself through more torture then that cunt comes away with that.

Its a total slap in the face to all the supporters.

I think he's getting abuse for being honest posters and punters cry out for it and when they hear it they react like daft wee kids.

Everyone who watched the full interview could see the point he was making.

No but what he did say was a massive slap in the face to the thousands of Rangers fans at the game. Some things you can be honest about and some things shouldn't be said. Just gives all our next opponents more encouragement playing against us. Get in about us and we'll shite the bed.

If he’s being honest then he doesn’t have the attitude to play for Rangers, he found his level at Brighton.

I'd would not level that at Goldson the amount of games he's played for us. Most of the animosity is because he has not signed a contract but bar the odd brain fart he gives 100%.

There were real cowards on the field but even at the end Goldson although failing was still working hard and bursting a gut to get a goal.

He said precisely what thousands of Rangers fans were saying. So he can be honest - as long as it he's only honest sometimes.
