Thinking of a few similar incidents that have happened where it's gone into full-on disciplinary stuff) and we've never been shy in taking a hard, public, line with it. The pieces in this just don't all line up as they should. They don't need to give the exact details but if there's been a bust-up and he's being punished for that then that's fair enough. The smoke and mirrors don't do much to help the situation. Can the club tell him he’s not getting paid until he gets his ass in gear? If the club doctors say he’s over the injury surely he must hold up his end of the contract and be getting ready for games.

He's been part of the matchday squad in five of seven games this season and has returned to action a month ahead of schedule. I'm not sure it holds any water. Nobody is paying a penny for him this month with Rangers having bombed him out and called him fat and lazy. Anyone who wants him will sit a few months, wait to see how he responds to Gio before signing him for fuck all in a few months time. Need to wait and see on that. Sure he’ll be off for a fee. Folk have signed many a waster convinced they’ll be the one to turn them round, and Morelos for all his faults isn’t a lost cause in football. Won’t be the big bucks it should have been two years ago though.

Especially not when they can sign him for fuck all in a few months.

STEPPS BOY 77,549
Clubs will be looking thinking that they can get Alfie for probably 3-4 million now. Absolute no brainer for a guy who has proved numerous times that he can do it at highest level. The biggest issue will be whether he wants to leave now or sit it out and pocket the massive signing on fee. graeme_4

A few weeks ago, GVB was happy with the work he was putting in and was keen to sign him to a new deal. If the player is 'fat and ill-disciplined' and the manager is playing him to 'get the fans off his back for not playing him' he's in the wrong job as Rangers manager. The idea he was 'trying to show the support what nick he was in' by playing him in matches in utterly mental. Lets gamble with results - and potentially the league title - so we can prove to some punters that Morelos is out of shape. If he felt there was 'no other option' its yet another failing of our recruitment that we've signed several attacking midfielders, a couple of CBs but have gone into the new season with one viable striker. Morelos lost his discipline, not GVB. And he would have been a late sub at best tonight. We havent dropped a nail-on starter.

Big Al 55 9,517
It might be no big deal tonight but it’s a season buster if he’s not fit and ready soon. If he won’t be signing a new contract and he’s likely to take the huff then we need to replace him. Sounds like he’s for the off depending on which rumours you favour. I don’t mean in the short term, I mean continuing to work on it. He is obviously fit enough to play, he played at the weekend, I’m meaning for him to get back to his best. Thought that was obvious with my wording.

As a professional athlete it should take him less time. if you’re loosing more than a lb a week you’re basically starving yourself and/or doing too much cardio.
