bombaybadboy08 15,660
He's been working hard in training and putting in a good shift at RB for the u20'sI believe Warbs likes himWell that's it settled then.
WATBB 1,524
Warburton obviously sees something in him at right back. I'll trust the magic hat.
Wearethepeople72 1,845
He's deserves a chance. Warburton might just get the best out of him the way he seems to be doing with McKay.
SuperPapac05 3,383
Aird is never a footballer never mind a gers player. Rotten. Release him and see if the hobos can scrape enough to pay him wages.Pretty much this. If Warburton can actually make a half decent player out of Aird then he really is a fucking magician. danepack 18
To be fair he did nothing wrong todaythat means jack shit, if a certain section of fans doesn't take to a player then it doesn't matter if that player scores 20 goals and gets 15 man of the match awards he's still a dud under those watchful eyes. Inigo 32,528
He's been working hard in training and putting in a good shift at RB for the u20'sI believe Warbs likes himThe answer to these kinds of threads is quite simple at he moment... Trust MW. He seems to know what he's doing.
theweebluenose 4,332
I'm not convinced with Aird but obviously Warburton see's something in him, he's still young so could develop into a better player. If Warburton can turn McKay into the Renfrew Ronaldo then who knows what he can do to Aird

ForeverBlue1872 463
Our RB and LB basically play as wingers now anyway, so Aird would be alright to cover at RB.

Prso's headband 35,456
At this moment in time he is our cover for RB and should be able to put in a decent shift if needed. I thought he done ok when he came on and ball looked assured at LB and won us a penalty so he wasn't exactly holding back in terms of the attacking philosophy we play. Figo 91
The lad is getting a chance, already looks better under Warburton and if he does not cut the mustard by the end of the season he will be away.To be honest I've every faith in Warburtons decision making at this point. If he thinks there may be a player in Aird then he deserves the time to see if he can get that out of it.After all he sees him day in day out, we see the cameo appearances during games. We've all complained that the club has failed the younger players over the last decade or so and I'm glad that under W&W the squad is being used and there is no one in there that they don't think can do a job when asked.I think it will take a while for us as fans to get used to the fact that we no longer "know better than the manager"..... and that is a massive plus for me! Kai_Johansen 978
I doubt that he's on big money, probably will be used as a utility player until his contract ends then let go.Of course MW might be able to work some magic on him, and actually turn him into a player! PaulReid 184
He has the right attitudeLet's give him a chance and back him on the park. When it's his time to leave and we are back at the top we can say thanks and good luck.
mafia32 93
I remember players like Charlie Adam, Burke used to get grief lol they did not bad
Ardrossan Dave 75
Give the boy a break ffs. We've already seen Millier, Law, Shiels and Wallace transformed under good management. Who's to say that Aird will not be developed into a decent player by the real coaches we now have?If Warburton thinks he has material there to work with that's good enough for me. Hamie 4,842
he's ok, decent cover and better than Foster.
BL11 33
Warburton rates him as a right back. I'll trust his judgment.Correct and so should everyone else.Aird has always been a worker, hopefully he can progress his game further.
NeoGeo7 10,517
I was surprised we let Sinnamon go on loan tbh. But I think with the way we play, we almost need wingers at fullback rather than CB's playing there. Just hoping Tav doesn't get injured Suspension is more likely as he got booked again yesterday. MarvinAndrews 80
Suspension is more likely as he got booked again yesterday.True. That's why he got taken off I'm sure. We can't afford to lose him right now.
JimWhiteRSC 4
Personally, I don't think he's got it. But the manager must have some confidence in him if he's kept him on like the rest of the younger boys. Might be a good idea for him to go out on loan though, to help him get a bit more experience of first team football, cause it doesn't look like he's gonna get it in this team. #InWarburtonWeTrust
GersInCanada 7,775
MW thinks there is a player there and who am I to argue with him.
CaptainDandy 834
Personally don't think Aird is a RB. If he's going to be anything it is a winger but he has to work on his final ball. He flatters to deceive at times.
