He's always been loyal to us, and IMO been a fantastic RB and captain. Mores the pity he hasn't won more medals with us, but that will come

One of the best bits of business in the history of the Club. He was essentially a squad player until the last 6 months when he put in some immense performances. I won’t begrudge a player like him a move. He always seemed a team player who tried hard, seemed a good lad who respected the club and the supporters. That is all we can ask for a Rangers player and unlike recent years we haven’t sold on the cheap. 

Jimmy taught him well.
