Flatcap reacted to Laudrup1984 in *****Official Champions V Hibs Match Thread*****
This cunt is going to break someone's leg or end their career. And no doubt there is plenty more of these as well. Look at his face. Just a thug. Never a footballer. Something needs to be done about him. He can't keep doing this.

I think Kent has been carrying a knock all season so far and he's either aggravated it or picked up another one and this time off will do him the World of good.

Lyon held PSG, who started with the famed trio up front in Paris until 93rd minute yesterday (2-1 final score).....and first Paris goal a penalty....puts Thursday into some context.

......and apart from old firm games, Ibrox and the shit pit are often the same. I would love to have what they have at Man U....apart from a cross city derby they have intense rivalries with Liverpool and Leeds that rival derby days and high intensity fixtures with the London clubs

Not really. Lyon are about the same standard now as leverkusen were when we played them. They played us off the park and lyon did not.
I think he is also switching criticism away from the defence to not taking our chances. Fair enough. It was still poor defending though.

It is sad , but for a different reason. Manager does not seem to drop players that are under performing or need a rest. No point having a good squad if the manager plays his nominal first 11 regardless of form.

The fact that he's played through injury to help the cause says a lot about the young fella. He might not have been anywhere near his best but the scum are shit scared of him and he freed up space for others in the old firm. Last night, he was sloppy on more than one occasion and had a bad hand in both goals against but also came agonisingly close to getting us back into the contest, but for a fantastic save from their keeper. He definitely needs a rest but mainly to get him back to full fitness. Whe he's fit and on form, he's the best we've got. Playing unfit athletes is a management issue, not the player's.

Man City have always had a fantastic travelling support, regardless of how many attend home games.

Flatcap reacted to Real Ranger in Rangers voting SNP
The Scottish government were highly critical of the club for not doing enough to deter fans from gathering in large numbers away from Ibrox and they were highly critical of the Rangers supporters for breaking social distancing guidelines.
After Scotland fans had travelled down to London and gathered in vast numbers breaking social distancing guidelines there was no criticism of the SFA for not doing enough and after the England game Sturgeon’s response was to tweet “We all boogied”.
You didn’t notice any difference though😩

Not thrilled with that longer interview. Basically he is relying on Tav, Goldson etc getting their act together and bringing the dressing room along. Also keeps talking about 'superhuman efforts' but neglects to mention Aribo and particularly Hagi who ran themselves into the ground 2nd half yet praises Davis and Goldson continuously who were OK last night nothing more.

European teams are no mugs, I think the idea of putting 4 or 5 by them and resting the squad for the second leg is getting a bit ahead of ourselves.

Flatcap reacted to graeme_4 in *****The Official Champions vs Alashkert Thread*****
I think if Bassey doesn’t start it makes a mockery of ‘competition for places’. Barisic has been honking and Bassey came in and had a stormer. If he doesn’t keep his place now we’d be as well not having a squad.

Flatcap reacted to SIRB_72 in *****Official Champions v Dunfermline Match Thread*****
I said it at half time but that was so much better tonight. A lot like the Rangers I remember going unbeaten and scoring 102 league points.
Firstly we protected our defence well with our central midfield choice without hurting us going forward. Kamara with Aribo and Lundstram either side looks a midfield with much more balance than Lundstram has played in so far and he played well.
The midfield protected Goldson and Simpson, who let's be fair, needed it and allowed Patterson and Bassey to bomb forward. If Bassey doesn't start on Thursday it's extremely unfair on him.
On the point of protecting the centre halfs I think that worked really well last season. We barely needed our centre halfs to do any work before January (domestically) because we controlled games and nothing went through our midfield. Once we get back to that regularly we'll be picking up clean sheets regularly again. We allowed Dunfermline 2 shots all night and that's what we were doing to teams at our best last season.
Going forward we had it coming from all directions. Roofe, Wright and Hagi linked up really well, Bassey and Patterson didn't stop and their willingness to get to the byline was very impressive and Aribo and Lundstram worked really well at taking turns going forward and sitting with Kamara.
Listen, I know it was Dunfermline who will struggle in a lower division but tonight we handled this game how we should have and won 5-0. It doesn't take Tuesday's pain away but we have to start somewhere and that was much more like us.
