I would like to have an approach at the football club of developing our own managerial talent as well as the playing talent. The approach of appointing managers has been a lottery. Caixinha, GVB, Warburton, even Gerrard. All massive gambles. I get that appointing a manager is always a coin toss but having our talent being developed seems prudent to me
Thomson has a great attitude to the game, he gets what it means to play for Rangers and learned great lessons from Walter among others. He seems to be doing good things at grass root coaching.  Would love for him to develop the basic skills.

The point he made about us not being able to compete in the CL against much richer teams should also apply when we play the likes of Motherwell. The relative differential between us and say Liverpool is no greater than between us and Motherwell. 
Lundstram's wages alone are probably more than the whole Motherwell first team squad together.
I don't hear the little coward quoting the difference in resources when the boot is on the other foot.

As good a striker as he was, he was criminally underrated in terms of his footballing ability. Weight of pass, movement and football intelligence were all far better than he was given credit for.

Our players look utterly bereft of confidence. They actually look scared to try anything risky at all.
This is not a player problem it is a manager problem. If it was just Kent who looked terrified then you could blame him, but it’s every single player.
As soon as we got the goal you could see no one wanted to go forward. They only wanted to keep the ball. It’s fucking embarrassing.
And don’t try to tell me that the players aren’t capable  every single one of these players have demonstrated they have an abundance of talent when correctly coached and motivated with the right tactics.
Dundee United were absolutely fucking shite today and yet they caused us real problems. 
It’s unfortunate to be talking of a new manager already but the regression is staggering. The guy is a fucking coward and sends out his teams to “keep the zero”. Well our players excel when they are attacking the opposition and going for it and that he can’t see that, and instructs them to play in reverse means he needs sacked now.

That’s nonsense tbh. There were peaks and troughs throughout, but if you can’t even bring yourself to admit that there was a general pattern of upwards progress season upon season for three seasons straight under Gerrard then it’s nothing more than your own bias that’s clouding your judgement.
