  1. I think the main issue is that the BBC can reduce it's NI contributions this way and publicly funded organizations should not be using this type of tax avoidance scheme.
  2. From the size of his woggle ....I'll get me coat
  3. This I know some ppl don't like our players going on international duty but the message that you are better playing 1st team football at Rangers than sitting in the reserves is good news for us
  4. Well, yes - I'm not convinced that the two CBs are a long term solution and I don't think Halliday is really a DM. BUT - the second goal was due to sleeping at a set piece and the third could have been prevented by one of the CBs dropping deeper so even with the players we have available I don't think the formation is the problem
  5. I'm pretty sure that 4-3-3 means a back four so there's nothing intrinsically weak about the formation so why change it. If you push your FBs forward then you need a DM who will cover plus at least one reasonably quick CB, neither of which we had last night. We need to get some perspective here - two of the goals last night were due to idiotic defensive lapses NOT how the team lined up.
  6. If he's in the last year of his contract then we can be pretty sure he'll be here till the end of the season as he's currently injured and it's highly unlikely anyone will offer him a pre contract at better wages then he is on now. Presumably if he gets fit he'll be given a chance to justify a new contract offer, but I'd be pretty surprised if he gets one.
  7. It's inevitable with this system that we will get caught out with the FBs pushed on and lose the odd goal. If we start losing goals from set plays I'll be more concerned
  8. Due to work and holidays I've only managed to get to two matches at Ibrox so far this season. The game against Hibs and yesterday. So the two worst performances had the common factor of....me I'll try to improve.....
  9. Waghorn is a great signing. To be fair, that can be said about pretty much all of MW's signings so far. His success rate is incredible.
  10. He's young and the reason he's here is because Tottenham rate MW as a coach. Let's reserve judgement until we see what he's like by the end of the season
  11. It's Kaizer Chiefs Kaiser Chiefs are the band (This post is brought to you by the Society of Pedants)
  12. I don't think for a moment that HMRC made a "mistake". I will always believe that we were targeted by a group of Celtic supporters at Centre One. Murray's actions did open the door for HMRC to shaft us, so I suppose that bit was self inflicted
  13. Not as good a choice as Mourinho, though. Some people have no ambition at all... (just voicing an opinion)
  14. As valid as all the posters singing his praises then. Hope he proves me wrong, but the contrast between him and Vuckic was huge
  15. Didn't see anything to get excited about, I'm afraid. Another one paced midfielder who plays it neat and tidy but never likely to hurt the opposition where it matters. Typical product of our youth program tbh.
  16. With a new manager, I wouldn't completely rule out going up with the current squad. If the current management team stay in place - no chance
  17. Are you seriously arguing that the board should have replaced McCoist earlier? Or maybe you take the view that the on field problems have started since he left? Three years defending a manager with no managerial ability who was well backed financially puts you in a pretty weak position tbh.
  18. Many years ago, a close friend of Ally McLeod told me (when I was expressing similar views to previous posts) that DJ had treated going to the WC like a holiday and had piled on the pounds to the extent that by the time the games started he was in no shape to play. I have no idea whether this is true and it did come from someone unlikely to agree that McLeod was clueless
  19. Brilliant - only slight problem is that by wearing the camera on his chest, it does make it look as if he is a midget when he's standing next to the other marine. Still great stuff
  20. Utter nonsense - do you work for the tobacco industry? Lung cancer rates in men in this country have fallen by 46% since the 1970s in the UK due to the reduction in smoking, whereas they have increased in women directly due to smoking. Are you suggesting that this link with cars only affects one sex? Talking about "so called smoking related cancers" means that you are either an idiot or are a paid propagandist for the tobacco companies. As for passive smoking, the WHO estimates that it causes 603,000 deaths worldwide every year, including 165,00 children. Are you pro knowing what you are talking about? Here's a reference - the paper is from Sweden, so it looks like your suggestion that the passive smoking theory is down to one Professor in England is another lie - http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(10)61388-8/fulltext
  21. The new Bob Malcolm for me - doubt he'll play much
