It’s a fine return if others do their jobs.
Cantwell and Lawrence both missed absolute sitters yesterday, and Cantwell in particular it’s just ignored. If Dessers missed those he’d be slaughtered.
It’s been a problem for years, our team outside our CF and RB contribute next to nothing in goals.
Even assists, outside of those two the most is Lundstram on 7. 

Quite often so i I don’t disagree with the statement on bold.
My post was in relation to another member stating the ‘importance of some’ of the ones he’s missed.
You could equally argue the importance of the ones he’s scored, without which, GD wouldn’t even be coming into it. 
 

Dessers gets a lot of stick, but his attacking colleagues Cantwell, Lawrence, Matondo, Roofe, Lammers, Wright, are the ones who should get it in the neck for contributing single digits in goals.
The most any have is 6 goals, and 5 is the highest in terms of assists.
Horrendous return playing at Rangers. 

Tavernier has scored 15 penalties this season and missed 4. Can you imagine Dessers sitting on 35 goals right now considering the sitters he has missed and the fact that there was a spell when Danillo was fit and Dessers wasn't starting? 😂😂😂

We’re basically back to where we seem to have been for years.
 
Over reliant on Tav and the striker (Morelos/Dessers) for the goals.
 
Since that Motherwell defeat the scorers have been in the league.
Motherwell - Tav
Hibs - Tav, Dessers, Matondo
them - Tav, Matondo and Sima
Ross County - Tav and an OG
Hearts - Dessers x 2
St Mirren - OG and Dessers.
 
So from players available today only Tav and Dessers have scored in past six games.

I haven't complained about Dessers in weeks. Ok, I shouted at the telly when he misplaced a pass. He gets himself in the right positions to score goals. McCoist missed tons as well, but he was also in and about everything.
Dessers was also instrumental in the OG. He was right there, causing problems.
20 goals with 5 to go is an unexpectedly good return. I wouldn't have said that in Oct/Nov.

In fairness, everyone always goes on about a 20+ goalscoring striker.
He is that.
Frustrates the absolute life out of us all yes, but you can't argue with the numbers.

Once again, was poor in large spells when he actually got the ball - made several poor decisions/runs. But, once again, was crucial in the first goal and the buildup to the second before finishing it. 
As frustrating as he is, the lack of service he got today was a much bigger source of frustration. 

No matter how much Dessers frustrates us 20 goals gives him the right to stay here for next season and he deserves it.

Again, I never said you would, but there's thousands of Rangers fans who've never saw us win a Treble, many thousands who haven't seen us win a League in person, it'll be them who'll hold him and everyone else in the squad up as legends if it happens.
