Seemed to have the Europa League run buzz about it.

So good seeing what we’re building here, still going to be tough but will be devastated if we don’t get this over the line.

Last 2 Old Firms going to be huge unless their poor-ish run continues and we get a bit of daylight.

Just wish we had a goalscoring striker which is what is needed to get over the line.

You could literary hear the abuse being hurled at him when he was standing checking the VAR screen and the full stadium chanting fuck the SFA.

No wonder he didn’t over turn it 😂

The replay angles he was shown did Sterling no favours. Live commentary had a few angles which would have given cause for the red to be downgraded but with the VAR replays it looked a definite red.

Do Rangers have a bigger percentage of youngsters who have good ability but don't have the mentality to push on?

Be interesting to know what the club do to address that with the youth.

Apart from a couple of youngsters who have progressed to first team in the top tier for us in the last 20 years Auchenhowie is a a facility that we run as a charity to train players for other teams.

Singing section shouldn't be required, the whole fucking stadium should be bouncing every game and belting out the tunes, however, we are where we are, so its a good move,  its time Ibrox was a cauldron of noise again, not just for Euro nights etc.

Agree, maybe I am just an old fogey remembering  things through rose tinted memories, but I wonder if the UnionBears section has stifled sound and spontaneous singing from the rest of the stadium.? It seems the only time the whole stadium comes together if for a couple of old favourites.

Normally I'd agree but just you wait until we get absolutely shafted with these two games in hand, we'll end up playing them between EL games and have like 4 games in 8 days or something.

Correct, I am sure there is a tour of Japan and Korea that has to catered for so no possibility of extending the season.

Walter again. Also broadfoot centre half to right back

Walter first time round almost always used one full back with a central defender at the other full back position. McPherson, Boli, McLaren, Moore, Porrini etc. Possibly to ensure that the full backs did not bomb forward at the same time leaving the team exposed for breakaways. Second stint often had four central defenders along the back line, if it meant we won nobody cared.

Anyone else think soutar is an accident waiting to happen? Where was he in the one on one with butland chance?
then god knows what he done in the second half in the box near the end was up the other end but could hear the groans did he miskick or something?

Yes, said many times I loved it when he played against us since he would give away 3 or 4 good chances every game. Plays opponents onside, goes to ground too often in tackles or blocks, like today. Poor reader of the game and over confident in his ability.

  8. There is a gap in quality and numbers between the squads. They have forwards and sub forwards who score goals. I try to think every match who will score for us and think Tavenier with a penalty or free kick is the most likely. This should not be the case for a team our size. Front three are miss more than hit and midfield have not pulled their weight for years in the scoring dept. Even central defenders are below average in set piece goals.

  9. The gap in quality is obvious; they are faster, smarter and look fitter than us. They have strength in depth, players, especially upfront, who can come on and make an impact. We have Wright and Matondo!!
They have proactive midfielders, we have midfielders who always seem to be at full stretch just trying  to get the ball. They take quick set pieces which still seem to catch out our players.

We have a superior keeper and arguably a better back four but we really need to find money to do what has been needed for ages: clear out the deadwood, the permanently injured and the plodders, replacing them  with players who can play at pace and have the ability to pass  and control ball and game and strikers who can fulfil the description.

A hard ask following years of shoddy recruitment and criminal waste of money and I have no clue of how to fund what is needed. Maybe get rid of the youth setup which apart from 2 players in 20 years has only benefited other teams in our league and below.

Yes I am sick at what seems to be continual disappointment and heartbreak my grandkids feel when we fall down to them and worse teams when we think we have a chance.

  10. There is a huge gap between the squads in terms of numbers and quality. Still relying on Wright, who was not deemed good enough for Aberdeen, to come on to rescue the game is shocking.

We need another couple of strikers as well as Silva since Dessers was shown up yet again as a donkey unable to fashion a clean strike, hold the ball up or even link play.Patience must be running out regarding Cantwell , we played with 9 men with these two.

Up front the only threat came from the youngest player on the park and in midfield Sterling was the only one who looked the part. Despite my reservations Yilmaz did well in defence and going forward
