Losing so many points is not a momentary lapse. Its all the stupid wee draws like last week and the total capitulation last night which we all find so humiliating.

I don’t think it’s to do with the crowd, we just couldn’t handle the effort and pressure they put us under. They also scored some great goals, that our attackers and midfielders just don’t do. 

A wed night no EPL on so the viewing figures would have been through the roof. 
Those players embarrassed themselves in front of millions last night - there will be a few of them not really bothered by the fact.
 

Hope you’re right but this is more than last night. We’ve been average to pish for a while. We need Helander and Jack fit and playing regularly and hopefully Ramsey will bring a bit of quality.
Theres no getting away from it though that they look to have bought well and won’t drop many points. We have fragile players who crumble under any sort of pressure and don’t have the quality from the bench when needed. 
If we can play our strongest or near strongest 11 week in week out we may have a chance but on recent performances and last night they are firm favourites

Think most forums try to analyse all the shit that happens in a match, down to the small details but that was something that clearly wasn't going to work, inviting pressure from a team who go gung-ho from the start is crazy 
 

I’d be wary of saying that “we handed them the league”. OF games are a bit of a one-off, they can help decide where the title goes, but one horrific result isn’t necessarily the deciding factor. That’s not to say it doesn’t sting like fuck when we lose them in that manner mind 
Look at when we beat them under Gerrard in 2018/19 and 2019/20. While they were brilliant results, they were ultimately false dawns and we didn’t win the league in those seasons.
I actually think in the last few seasons the results against the rest of the league have been far more important in determining the league winners. How we get on against Hearts and Hibs in the next couple of games will tell us everything we need to know.

Completely agree. Gio wanted a winger and the board got one. The 37M player from Man Und. Gio wanted a box to box midfielder. The board got a world class box to box midfielder from Juve.
These deals require a lot of time to put together. Not a peep from the club as we quietly went about our business. Very professional.

I don't even think Shagger will be blaming yesterday's defeat on the midfield. He certainly wasn't screaming at anyone when goals were conceeded which is very unlike him.

People forget we’ve been ripped with injuries, suspensions and call ups over the past few weeks.
Hagi, Kent, Balogun, Jack, Roofe, Helander, Arfield, Davis, Aribo, Morelos.
Have all either been injured, suspended or called up for international duty during that time. 
Unless you are a Premier Levaue squad that’s bankrolled to the tune of hundred of millions that number of omissions is obviously going to cause a drop off in quality.

If Alan McGregor doesn't drop the ball for the first we win 3-2 If Bassey doesn't fresh air the second it's 3-1 If McGregor deals with the third better it's 3-0 We as expected had the lion share of possession and had about 25 shots on goal.  Nothing to do with the midfield.  People need to calm the fk down.
 
 

Fuck knows what’s up with Balogun and Helander obviously won’t be thrown in so it’s the same back 4 I’m afraid. Bassey is not and never will be a centre half. 
 
Helander, Morelos and a fit Jack then we are strong - a team gets it’s strength through the middle.
Obviously none of them will be there so it’s going to be a hard watch, come out still on top and I’ll be over the moon.

The sit on a lead mentality needs booted to fuck. We should be looking to score more goals against most of the dross we play. We don't have the defence to see out a slender advantage so sitting back and soaking up pressure is the worst tactic for this team. I hope GVB can see this and change it. 
Sit back against them playing defensive and we will get a pasting.
