You sort of live thinking that it's just us and them that are challenging for trophies because that's what you've been used to for almost your whole life; but that's just not true now, and it hasn't been for a while. We're not a serious threat to them. We're a club who win a trophy every now and then at best, and there are no signs that that will change anytime soon.

I wanted him in at the start, I thought it would be good for us but in hindsight he absolutely must not have been the mastermind behind Gerrard’s small successes in his time here. We look nothing like the team I thought we would be. The signings are all worse than what we had and the levels of Raskin & Cantwell have dropped too.
I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt and particularly through the summer. No improvements anywhere to be seen, out of UCL after a thumping, struggled past Morton, 2 league defeats including one at home to Celtic. Not for me, firmly in the Beale out camp.
