Why are people so obsessed with style of play these days?
Obviously you would like your club to play football that’s fun to watch, but there’s this weird online cult like  mentality, mainly perpetuated by hipsters and football snobs, where any manager who asks his team to string five or six passes together on the deck gets praised for it and any manager who is more balanced or pragmatic is almost vilified or ridiculed for it. It’s actually mental.

Can only give them what they're willing to sign and not many managers that are in any kind of demand will be signing a 1 year rolling contract anymore.

It's expected that young players will make mistakes and unfortunately at CB they mistakes will be punished but the mistakes are fucking dreadful.
The same low cross does him every time, was lucky today that the ball across in the first half he left wasn't punished then later in the game tries to take a touch in the box and we lose a goal.
If you're young trying to make your way in the game then you do the basics and do them to the best of your ability. If he's failing at basics then his times up here before it's really got going.

When he signed for us he justified it by saying he wanted to play in the Champions League. He's now done that and he was found out to be miles off that level. Last week on that podcast with his other incomprehensible pal he was saying he wanted to end his career here. I don't fucking think so.

Playing himself as a holding mid at times has shown up his lack of mobility and fitness as he's fucked after 60mins.
Today seemed to play as the further forward mid and his lack of energy was noticeably bad.

The manager needs to fit with what our current players can achieve and what our recruitment/transfer fees can bring in.
Theres no point in bringing in a manager that tries to play fast attacking football and not giving him the money to sign suitable players as well as giving new contracts to guys like Arfield and Jack.
I fully expect us to go for someone that doesn’t fit and set us back further with wasted time and money.
