The formation was beyond shambolic. He must have been on ket when coming up with that Shite.
if we fail to win the league he should be sacked.
That's like saying the manager of Burnley or Everton should be sacked if they don't win the English Premiership.
We're shopping in the loan and free transfer market for the most part and competing for the title against a team who's wage budget is double ours with a turnover three times ours. The CB and LB they just brought in cost more than our entire team, including the bench.
Winning the league will be a massive achievement, all thing's considered.

His team selection was the same (minus Kent for Aribo) that went 6 games unbeaten, including celtic, at the end of last season, so i can see why he picked the players he did.
He expected celtic to play an open game, like the rest of us tbh, but they sat in and hit us on the counter instead and we never adapted.
My only criticism is i would've started with Jones instead of Aribo/Kamara, but it's done now and we need to move on.
Saying we need to do this or that or else, is a riddy btw.

I said in a thread a couple of days ago that the best thing this board have done was reducing celtics allocation, but bringing Gerrard in tops that tbh.
He's got the perfect temperament to be a manager and commands respect the same way Walter Smith used to, he's exactly what we needed.
I would be offering him an extension to his contract.

Fancy our chances against anyone at Ibrox tbh.

There's your case for bias and conflict of interest, which any self respecting lawyer in the country would happily jump at, but our spineless board are just happy to take it up the arse from them and throw our own under the bus.
Said last night if this keeps up I'll not be back at Ibrox and I'm still feeling the same this morning.
If you genuinely can't see what these bastards are trying to do to us you never will, it's 2012 all over again.
They are bias, definitely, but it's irrelevant who's reporting us at this point tbh.
This would be a fight worth fighting if they were making false accusations against us or planting evidence to get us punished - they're not doing this though and we're basically doing their job for them by singing these "banned" songs.
If we stop giving them punishable things to report to UEFA and they still report us, then we have a case against them for discrimination or bias, until then, we're fucked basically.

The board got criticised for not telling anyone about the first UEFA charge until we knew the punishment - if they had released a statement sooner, the fans wouldn't have sang any "banned" songs at the next game.
Now they release a statement about the second UEFA charge before we know the punishment so that fans know not to sing "banned" songs at our next game and they still get criticised for doing it before the biggest game of the season.
No win situation tbh.

Best thing the board done was reducing their allocation imo.
Hopefully it never goes back to the way it was.

Rather than fighting back I more and more see the attitude to hide your identity. Don't wears Rangers shirt in case you offend the Catholic family etc etc.
I live in NI so maybe a wee bit diff then all the Scots bears face but always been a big support back home for Rangers.

Still not convinced tbh.
Any pictures of your "mate"?

"I actually took my wee boy to the park the other day and a guy I knew asked him who he supported and he shouted Rangers. Later on the guy comes to me and says you should maybe teach him not to shout that out in public."
If you knew the guy then he would already know what team you and your son supported.
You've clearly added this part to try and make your OP more interesting.
Riddy.

I've yet to see Barisic play as bad as Flanagan or Halliday at left back, but I've not seen him have a really good performance either.
Flanagan and Halliday have both put in big performances previously but also some of the worst performances i've ever seen from a Rangers player and you don't know what you're getting with them.
Up until now, Barisic has been consistently average - not great, not bad, he just continues to play it safe. That's why he frustrates a lot of people because he clearly has talent. That's a confidence issue imo and if he can get a run of games then he's easily our first choice LB.

If you have to explain their statement for them then there's clearly an issue.
It was a clusterfuck.
I'm only giving my opinion of the statement and how i interpreted it tbh. I could be wrong obviously.
I don't see how they could've said anything else tbh, given the nature of the charge against us.

“ Racist behaviour - which includes Sectarian singing”.
Were we charged with something else as well as the singing because that’s what that implies to me.
The "racist behaviour" charge will cover a variety of issues - probably to save UEFA from unnecessary paperwork and having to categorise thousands of individual charges, so sectarianism, illicit banners, actual racist behaviour etc will all be covered under the same "charge".

Why did the club not just say sectarian singing instead of racist behaviour?
1 minute ago, OceanRain said:I'm aware of the charge, mate.
"It's been widely misinterpreted"
That was my point and the board's statement certainly made no attempt to clarify it.
They were saying what we've been charged with - the "racist behaviour" part is how UEFA have worded the charge and the club released a statement on the charge. They can't deny the charge or argue against part of it once we've been found guilty, unless we were appealing.
It's UEFA who have put sectarian chants alongside racist behaviour, not the board.
Levski Sofia were also charged with racist behaviour and that was due to a banner.

UEFA has ruled that a group of Rangers supporters were guilty of racist behaviour – which includes sectarian singing – during the match against St Joseph’s at Ibrox on July 18.
Our supporters have been asked repeatedly by the Club to refrain from indulging in this, and other forms of unacceptable behaviour. Sadly, the warnings have fallen on deaf ears and the actions of this minority will cause the Club and the majority of good and decent Rangers supporters to pay a heavy penalty.
That's UEFAs wording of the "charge" not the clubs and it's been widely misinterpreted tbh.
It's sectarian chanting we've been found guilty of, not racism.
- Racist behaviour (sectarian chants) - Art. 14 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.

We were able to compete financially with them the last time we were fighting for silverware.
The "we are Rangers" argument is irrelevant when the manager has one hand tied behind his back tbh.
