He'll also liase with players' loan clubs over stuff like their training and act as a point of contact for the players and their loan clubs.

I'd have thought it would be tbh, didn't read the full article when he was appointed but it's easy enough to grasp what his likely duties would be. Whilst he can keep an eye on our players he can also identify others and, say he's down south for a weekend, he can take in a fair number of games and not just the games our loan players play in.

Robby McCrorie is earmarked for that one

Right now, Kelly. He's had the benefit of a few seasons out on loan (playing regularly and lifting titles) but I think McCrorie is the one long-term.

Once he makes the first team then the gloves will be his for a long time. He still has his moments but he's going to be a top keeper. All he really lacks is senior experience which I expect we'll look at fixing soon. Always felt a bit bad for Kelly in that he seemed to be a little caught out with his age. Had he been a couple years older then it might have worked out a little better for him but always had the impression that Robby would be the one who made the step up when the time was right - even if that meant Kelly being pushed aside to make room.

He left this summer to get first time football, he’s hardly going to come back and happily sit on the bench after 6 months. 

Graeme Murty has been and always will be an asset to Rangers.
