Agree those signings all need to be made but IMO the wide forward areas are more important than a new number 9. Sima, Cortés and Silva are all on loan which leaves us with McCausland, Wright and Matondo who have 10 goals in 86 appearances between them . Left back is going to need to be addressed too.

Still has a year left mate. He can sign a pre-contract next January. I'm not convinced he is the answer though based purely on any time I've seen him against us.

Sadly we were a far more attractive proposition back then. We could offer a lot more money (in relative terms) and having Advocaat as manager definitely helped as well. Same applies to signing Numan and Van Bronckhorst. 

No guarantee it would solve our weakness in wide positions or make us better defensively.  Changing the shape of the team and putting three already inconsistent and error laden CBs together for the first time in an experimental new formation in high pressure title run in matches would be stupid as fuck and asking for trouble imho

Worth noting that those around him have also taken penalties.

Cantwell and Lawrence both missed absolute sitters yesterday, and Cantwell in particular it’s just ignored. If Dessers missed those he’d be slaughtered.
It’s been a problem for years, our team outside our CF and RB contribute next to nothing in goals.
Even assists, outside of those two the most is Lundstram on 7.
