Tavernier posting yet another compilation of the year, after the shite show it’s been for the majority, including his goals against Celtic when we lost (again) at the Piggery, and in the final we lost, has annoyed me a helluva a lot more than it should

His decision making the full game was terrible and has been for a while, would either overplay it when a pass was on or he would try a pass when he had a chance to take on his man, also gave the ball away numerous times when he wasn't passing backwards.
He has quality but he needs to rediscover his form of last season or he will be shown the door pretty quickly.

He lacks the  focus & mentality required to be doing the tracking & managing McGregor role. 

 

There was at least 3 times in the 1st half when Mcgregor picks the ball up and neither of those 2 are anywhere near him, there was even one were Cantwell was 5 yards away from Mcgregor and decided instead of pressing him he would get a light jog in behind him, never mind the countless amount of times he gave the ball away stupidly.
Another big game he has gone missing, front 4 were shocking yesterday so it wasn't exclusively just Cantwell but would bin him in January, at the very least he needs taking out the first team for a bit IMO.

Want him gone.

He will happily try and take on 3 or 4 players in the middle of the park but he recieved the ball out wide today when we were on the counter and would be 1v1 with there full back, he instead tries to pass it inside to dessers and makes a meal of that as well, his decision making all together today was terrible as it has been for a couple of weeks now.

Brenda is just like the vast majority of managers who have a shelf life of about 10years .Their ideas and methods only last so long till another way of comes along .Very few learn ,Improve and change much in their career .Noticed in his latter days at Leicester it was beginning to end for him .
 
For managers at his stage of career they need to look at what Walter Smith did .He took a step down and went to work as an assistant.Learned from it and became an even better manager for the latter days of his career .
Too many though have too big an ego to make that choice .

The wife booked a long weekend in Prague about 8 weeks ago for her and myself. She got B&B, Thursday to Sunday for £325 for both of us. Never clocked the dates until a few weeks ago, so will be taking a walk down to the stadium on Thursday night to see if there are any tickets going spare.

Even if this doesn't work out, I don't think we can blame the board for the appointment.
This guy has pedigree in a higher quality league than Scotland, experience of winning titles and has competed with big teams in the CL.
There's no guarantee of success but this is an appointment that shows ambition and imagination. On the face of it, looks like we've got a good'un.

Watch him play Cantwell in his best position like an absolute lunatic.
