Going to go against the grain here but all the 'fuck him' etc. posts lack class.
Don't understand that mentality at all.
Alright Ross, enjoy Nottingham eh.
Him leaving is the epitome of class.

Cool, just talking shite for the sake of it. I'm sure there's a cloud you could go and shout at.
What is shite about it? Are you saying he is good at blocking crosses and that he doesn't show wingers inside a lot?

How do you know?
It is physically impossible to be worse than Borna. Never seen a full back fail to block crosses or let people in on their strong foot as much in my life.

He is also 2nd in the assists table for the league this season 🤣 . Yet he's no use anymore to some in here .
Stat merchant. Borna was fucking awful before the WC, it was criminal how few chances Yilmaz got considering how bad Borna was. He hasn't been too bad the last couple games (second half of the OF anyway), but he isn't close to the player he was 2 years ago.
The only thing Borna has in his locker comfortably is that deep whipped cross and the odd good corner. He is slow, can't read long balls over his head, can't block crosses, let's people walk in on their strong foot every time, always loses his man at the back post.

The backlash is from about 15 posters on here who repeat it three times an hour. There are a fair amount of Rangers supporters backing him on FF.
As much as it is a madhouse, twitter is generally pretty good for gauging overall fan reaction and I see far more people of the opinion it is way too early for him and it is a poor appointment.

I genuinely don't think they interviewed anyone. I am also surprised they are still going ahead with it considering the backlash from the fans.

I think Dyche would be the favored appointment.
I have wanted Beale but after watching the QPR podcasts on YouTube last night they shared the same frustrations over the last few weeks I felt for Rangers.
Shouldn't really be a surprise, those frustrations were pretty common when Beale was here the first time. We struggled breaking teams down, just whipped endless crosses in over and over, got outmuscled and outfought regularly by the smaller teams.

If Wilson doesn't want Dyche despite working with him previously then that's not unimportant.
The only way Wilsons opinion is important is it is likely to be wrong.
If Wilson wants Dyche, then we look elsewhere. If Wilson doesn't, Dyche is our man.

It was the speaking about QPR with such pride and honesty only to fuck off right after.
It was a school visit, not a national broadcast, doubt he will be crying himself to sleep at night wondering if the weans hate him for it

One has three league titles and a 3rd place Bundesliga finish under his belt, the other has a decent 20 games at QPR.

Beale will be gone within a year and we will be lightyears behind that lot

Really can't be fucked with this if we appoint Beale. He has done nothing in management, started off well and is clearly struggling now so not as if he is absolutely flying in his first role. His tactics saw us struggle a lot against domestic teams who sat deep, exactly what we are seeing this season, nothing will change. He isn't a figurehead, he won't revitalise the club. He isn't even the cheapest option.
He is the easy option for a pathetic and unimaginative board/Ross Wilson.

Nonsense, roofe was our top goalscorer in the league in our only league winning season, he's a massive loss to the first team
Davies if fit along with helander and goldson means we don't finish games with no recognised centre half on the park, means we could switch to 3 at the back (as gio has shown to do)
Hagi offers something different in terms of vision in the middle of the park,
3 right away we are missing from the squad nevermind Lawrence, jack, goldson
Even when he was fit last season, Gio barely gave Roofe a chance. He ran Morelos into the ground and played him with an injury for weeks rather than giving Roofe a start and either gave him 10/20 minutes off the bench or just not at all.
Fuck knows what kind of player Helander will come back as, he has basically missed over a year of football.
The same goes for Hagi, who it is worth remembering btw was absolutely useless last season, especially under Gio who continued to shoe horn him out wide.
So out of those three, one barely plays, one will have huge question marks and the other was in dreadful form anyway. Jack has been awful this season, Sakala and Yilmaz have barely played. God know how Souttar will turn out. The only players anyone can truly say have been huge misses are Goldson and Lawrence.

If Gio is staying there would be absolutely no point then in sacking him in January if we drop more points.
Would there not? With our fixture list there is every chance we could be scrapping for second under Gio if he stays the season

I get that but I mean an immediate replacement.
Gio is sacked and we’ve got David McCallum for the Hibs game would be pointless.
His time is up but when he gets sacked I want a new manager in the next day not wanting a caretaker til the end of the season
What? We have five weeks to find a replacement. What on earth is the point in keeping him in a job until the week before the game and then going "Aw by the way, we are replacing you today, cheerio"
How often do you see a team find a replacement within a day of sacking someone? It basically never happens

I find it hard to muster up sympathy for him now considering how stubborn he has been with tactics, team selection and subs for months and the fact he clearly never learns from his mistakes.
I wish it worked out for him (like I would for any Rangers manager), but feel sorry for him? Not in the slightest.

Why Knutsen mate? Genuinely yet to see a convincing argument for him. Would love to see one because I think he would be someone high up on our shortlist, but I'm not sure why?
Took a tiny regional side who were expected to be fighting relegation to a 2nd place finish in his first season, their first ever title the year after (breaking alsorts of records doing so), then retained the title the following year. Got them European football for the first time and reached the knockouts (slapping the beasts about in the process).
He done this all the while playing attractive attacking football with an emphasis on physicality, height and fitness. Managing on a small budget (only three of his players were in the top 100 paid in the league) and had to bring through a lot of youth players and develop bargains, which then sold on for mega profits.
This season their form did dip, but finishing 2nd for Bodo/Glimt would have been seen as a miracle 3 years ago, yet now it is used a stick to beat him with because he lifted their standards so high. Even seen people slaughtering him for losing to Zagreb in the CL qualifiers ignoring the fact they were 5 minutes away from penalties and Zagreb are a seasoned CL outfit the last few years.
-
I think it is fair to say we either need a manager who works at a smaller club or has a year left on their deal (such that their compensation package will be lower) or one who is out of contract.
For the former, Knutsen does fit the bill.
For the latter there are a few. Seaone, Hutter and Tedesco top the list for me, but they won't be easy to get at all. Not even mentioning Gallardo as that is nigh on impossible.
Beale has spoken So many injuries
in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Posted
They clearly weren't conditioned properly during pre-season and have been managed by a subpar medical department. It isn't a coincidence that they have a good injury record before coming here and end up with multiple injuries. Matondo likewise, hardly missed a game for Cercle Brugge last year. Helander, missed a total of 10 games over two seasons prior to coming here then misses 52 games in the two seasons after for us and another 58 games on top of that. Fuck even Jack as injury prone as he is has missed substantially more games the last two seasons than prior to that because the medical department has been allowed to deteriorate.
Players will get injured, like Yilmaz first injury and Lawrence. Sometimes you just get shite luck, but the sheer volume of injuries we get this season and the length of recovery time for even basic injuries is ridiculous and needs looked at.
