    He wont be going anywhere.

Last years European run and Scottish cup has gave him time.

The board will be looking at Injuries also and that will go in his favour.

Gio will be here at the end of the world cup break and i cannot see it any other way.

Only reason I think he might get sacked is the fans are absolutely gunning for the board as well and they will think sacrificing Gio will get them on the fans good books again for the AGM.

But even then, I don't truly believe that. If Gio is still in charge for our next fixture I genuinely won't be surprised at all. We are an utter shiteshow of a club currently, the board are too stubborn and egotistical to act upon it and the fans are too scared to protest as it's 'not the Rangers way'.

Gio deserves more time, playing terrible right now but he must be given the chance to put it right.

Getting us out of the Europa league group before guiding us all the way to the final only to lose on penalties proves he’s no mug.
For me injuries have had a major impact on our performances this season.

No chance are people actually still this deluded

Knutsen is an interesting one as a coach, because he’s clearly rated, but the fact that nobody has appointed him yet is a bit of a red flag. Usually when somebody emerges like he did last season they aren’t at whatever club it is for long.

I imagine every club who has considered him has been waiting for someone else to take the gamble first. Premier League, Bundesliga etc probably want him to try his arm at a better league that Norway first. I reckon a top Dutch or Belgian side or a team like us would be his next best step and would allow the top leagues to see how well his system translates to other leagues.

It would absolutely be a gamble but I think it would pay off.

Knutsen took a side in Bodo-Glimt that weren't fancied to 2 league titles. This season but results have dropped.

I keep seeing this as a reason to steer clear of Knutsen, but the fact is it is a miracle he even had them challenging in the first place. Finishing 2nd for Bodo/Glimt would have been seen as a fucking miracle before he managed them, yet it is viewed as a disaster now because how well he has done.

Gattuso with Muscat as assistant imo

Knutsen with Duncan Ferguson his no2?

Or Gattuso and a Kev Thomson type assistant?

Hunners of options.  Just get the imposter out the door ASAP.

I want Gattuso last season but zero chance of him now he is at Valencia.

  6. Don't really care if he has been unlucky with injuries or not considering the fact he never drops out of form players when he has the chance to (Kent, Barisic, Lundstram).

For those who want to give him more time, tell me what is one good aspect of our team right now? There isn't a single thing we do well, we are an utter disgrace of a team.

The players absolutely deserve a slaughtering as well, but see when you have a squad of 30 players who all look clueless, unmotivated and unfit, for me it suggests the problem is the one who is coaching and managing those 30.

 stop just talking shite to try back up a point about him not being good enough.

Only manager we’ll ever have that people will actually try give zero/little credit for getting to a European final.

I don't think he deserves zero credit, but I also don't think he pulled off tactical masterclasses every game to get us to the final. I think it was more down to momentum and the fans driving them on, and the fact all three home ties this season we have played with a bit of hunger and intensity while 3 out of the 4 away ties we have looked an utter shambles would suggest I am right.

What do you think the reason is for our away performances being so bad compared to the home ones? It might be the case the players are to blame for bottling it away (mostly), but that hardly shines a good light on Gio either as it's his job to manage that.

  8. 48 minutes ago, ForeverAndEver said:

    Gees peace man

Our away record in Europe has been pretty rank under Gio, Dortmund and PSV are the two outliers, so its no coincidence the majority of the good performances this season and last have came at home.

Do you genuinely believe it was down to Gio lifting the players for those home ties rather than the atmosphere?

    So, you’re a hypocrite then?

He gave us a trophy and a European final with a group of players that chucked it. He’s got a group of players that chuck it every fucking season.

When he leaves the same losers let us down, then you’ll notice he’s not the problem.

Never said the players take zero blame, it's others that refuse to put any blame any Gio.

He has signed plenty of players now and extended a handful of contracts. If the players keep letting him down, he should grow a set of bollocks and drop them. So either he deserves criticism for his hand in poor signings (along w/ Wilson) or for the fact he is a shitebag manager. But going by his interviews, they don't seem to be letting him down too much anyway.

Plenty of the players are playing utter shite right now, but I would bet my bottom dollar a better manager would get a tune out this squad. At least to the extent we don't look like mid table dross week in week out and certainly won't be losing 4-0 going on 8-0 to our rivals.

  10. Its unreal the lengths cunts go to defend Gio. Like @The Godfather said, always someone elses fault. He is the one who has failed to improve the players in that squad. He is the one that can't set up a team to be defensively solid or fluid offensively. He is the one that can't organise a team at set pieces for shit, at both ends of the pitch. He is the one that makes an utter shambles of substitutes week in week out. He is the one making the same mistakes over and over. He is the one that set us up for humiliation against our rivals, literally months after it happening the first time.

What are people seeing in the guy that I'm not. The one thing he gave us was European performances and even then I wasn't convinced by that because those performances came at Ibrox and the fans absolutely carried the team to that final, not Gio. Now those performances clearly are gone as well, he gives us absolutely nothing.

The context of the conversation was about how big Feyenoord are in comparison to the other Dutch clubs, BIB's statement was that Gio had 'no right' winning the league with them given who they were up against which was overplaying it a bit imo.

You could say that about McLaren ten years ago for Twente but not talking about Feyenoord winning the league.

Feyenoord is a bit like someone winning the league with Arsenal or Spurs right now. Hardly shock of the century, but still something that deserves major praise. I think the fact Gio is one of the most decorated managers in their history and done it in his stint as a manager says it all.

    Feyenoord are bigger than PSV

At the time GVB was there they weren't budget wise at all, had about half the wage bill PSV had and less than a third of Ajax despite having larger matchday revenue than both. Their revenue to wages was the lowest % in the league and net transfer spend was about 1/10th of Ajax and 1/5th of PSV as well. I think a lot of their money went towards paying debts.

Sky Sports saying McInnes and Gattuso not under consideration.

It’s going to be Gio, but I would be interested to see/know who our other candidates are.

Personally, I'd at least be chatting with Knutsen and Farke. That being said, I don't think Knutsen will leave Bodo until their season is over as they can still get EL qualification, 3 games from a league title and quarter final of the cup.

Admin will confirm I've got someone who is close to Lampard. That person has never claimed he's ever been close to our job.

This morning he woke up 100% wanting the Norwich job, I'm led to believe it didn't happen due to something outwit his control.

Looking like they've opted for Smith, probably have more confidence in him getting them out the Championship.

Could imagine Gattuso getting sacked 3 days in for leathering Sakala for smiling too much

He really wouldn't. He was brilliant at man management and every player loved him at Napoli and Milan. Only time he had a fall out was Lozano and that's because he is a lazy bastard, got pulled up for the same shite at PSV.

Anyone checked what Rangers actual ratings are (not FUT)

it's always changed just after release and expecting changes

Still just as shite really, Morelos at 77 and Aribo up by 1 and that is it I think.

  17. 13 minutes ago, ForeverAndEver said:

Is it not based on last season though? If so, only Jack and Morelos are baffling.

But we were good for the majority of last season, the post break form was shite but that was 30% or so of the season. We still made the EL last 16 and should have had a trophy as well. Those ratings are insinuating that Gary Dicker and Scott Allan are better players than Aribo and Kamara.
